SOUP FOR THE TROOPS

WELCOME TO

(where our troops, allies and their families can refresh themselves)

Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our

Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today's activities

I'm always awed by the things our guys and gals in the military do.
from SUPER INSERTION...
to...CHILD CHECK...
to...RESCUE MISSION...
to...SILENT DRILL TEAM

~ Today...Sunny.
Highs in the upper 60s.
West winds 15 to 20 mph.

~ Tonight...Mostly clear.
Lows around 40.
Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph...
Becoming northeast after midnight.

Alrighty, we had rain last night like Noah was expected
then woke up to dense fog at the homestead
which quickly dispersed on the way to work
now the sun is announcing the beginning
of a glorious day.

Making Z Zoup
A dash of this...a dash of that...

The Curly Redwood Lodge
is one of northern California’s most unique lodges.
It was built from one curly redwood tree
that produced 57,000 board feet of lumber.
The tree – cut down in 1952 – was 18 feet, 2 inches at the trunk.
Curly redwood is unique because of the curly grain of the wood,
unlike typical straight grained redwood.
(Huh, bet the tree huggers today would go bananas)

There are locusts that have an adult life span
of only a few weeks or so,
after having lived in the ground
as grubs for fifteen years.

The electric eel
is the most shocking animal on Earth
— no other animal packs such a big charge.
If attacking a large prey,
a 9-foot-long eel can discharge about 800 volts.
One zap could stun a human.
The larger the eel, the bigger the charge.
(not that's scary...9 foot eel? That's taller than most humans)

The classic toy wagon was designed by Antonio Pasin,
who founded his company in 1918.
Pasin wanted to give his wagons a modern flair,
and chose the word "radio"
for what was then a new form of communication,
and "flyer" for the wonder of flight
– hence, "Radio Flyer."

I've got to make my rounds.
But, you stay right where you are.
Keep the troops entertained and the Canteen clean...
Cause...if you don't...I'll tell Ma!

Come in and sit for a while.

There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS

PLEASE REMEMBER THEM ....

Good morning and (((HUGS))) to you. I slept in until almost 0700 today.

I’ll take the dog for a walk too. I mowed part of our lawn and the neighbor’s lawn yesterday.

Just had to get the 50 before I got up. WOOHOO.

70s? Nice.

I think we’re going to be pretty close to that. I’ll go for a walk by the river.

Have fun
