Last night's Dorito's ad was apparently meant to be "funny". A dog seems to be responsible for a missing cat's disappearance and he bribes a guy with Doritos to keep silent.
If we find this offensive, are we too sensitive? Is it wrong to request Doritos to kill this ad? They suggest the dog killed and buried the cat , or even worse. My best friend's cat was killed by a dog a few year's ago.
Get a life for goodness sake. Why bother even bringing this nonsense up....
I am horrified and offended by such hate language. These calls for violence must stop! Merely because we have no sense of humor is no reason to demand the killing of TV advertisements!
I know what you mean. My cat was killed by a mouse. I shudder at the thought of anyone watching “Tom and Jerry.”
And my pet coyote fell off a cliff so I also find Road Runner cartoons offensive.
Waaaay too sensitive! It’s TV, for gosh sake!
Yes and no one loves cats more than Mrs. FD and me.
This is part of the larger “dogs v. cats” meme that has been around forever.
Get a life. There are no time for other diversions?
And you honestly do not think the term “get a life” is a loaded expression? Shouldn’t everyone treat each one of us with a little bit of respect?
You can’t be serious.
I have been owned by and loved cats all my life, and I laughed out loud at that ad.
How can anyone who lives with a cat fail to have a sense of humor?
Humpty Dumpty was PUSHED !!!
And I own catz.
It's a commercial.
How about putting that angst into fighting against abortion.

I didn’t see the ad.
What breed of dog? Great Dane or chichuachua?
Why didn’t the Doritos dude stop the dog in the act?
Why didn’t the Doritos dude save the cat?
What happened between the cat and the dog should remain between the cat and the dog.
Would your reaction to this ad be different if it was the cat who made the dog disappear?
Just so you don’t think I’m making light of your plight, my cat was attacked by two terriers. She was gutted by the time I reached her.
Didn’t offend me but I’m looking for something to be offended by!
As an owner of a dog and servant to several cats, I thought the ad was hilarious.
My suggestion of a follow up is the cat comes back for revenge - remember they do have 9 lives.
I just re-read my copy of the Constitution, with special attention to the Bill of Rights -
And I still can’t find the section that says that anyone has the ‘right’ to not be offended...
Don’t buy or consume the products, write a nasty letter to the manufacturer (who, it must be noted, also has no ‘right’ not to be offended..), and even enlist your friends and neighbors (caution - if they don’t agree with you, you may find yourself with fewer friends than you started..)
You have no ‘right’, though, or even any kind of ‘moral leg to stand on, to deprive people who disagree, are not offended, or even *enjoyed* the commercial, of their experience because of your individual sensitivities...
Short version - grow up....
No cats were harmed in posting this response.
Cats. The other white meat.
Do you also want to prohibit children from pointing fingers and saying "Bang"?
its just a commercial that is all.
