I remarked on that in the live thread also. Newt translated national economic issues into real terms that affect the people in the audience, 1 of 5 of which he said depend in some way on the Port of Charleston for their livelihood. That was masterful debating, and it takes not only a keen mind but a command of the issues to do what Newt does so effortlessly. The contrast between Newt and Obama or Biden is like comparing an 8 core Xeon processor with an 8080 ;-)
(OK, in Biden’s case it’s like comparing a Xeon vs. a broken abacus)

Puke. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz on FNC now. Why did i even turn it on?
To: Girlene
For sure Girlene. Last I heard he was ahead almost double digits! An amazing accomplishment! Here is only part of the reason. Romney’s spin about Bain.

Some of the comments on this thread are very revealing well worth reading.

Another very good post. Again my sentiments are the same as yours. GO NEWT GO!

I thought so too, but Gator113 at post 969 just reported that Faux is going to start the polling results!
Stand fast South Carolina - for the Republic!

Has anyone posted the SC Sec. of State site?
I don’t have time to go through the whole thread right now.

Uh, you should know you’re going to get faster election results from TV than from an internet thread commenting about what’s on TV...

I jumped ahead two hundred posts and we are still sitting in judgement instead of talking about the SC Primary.. Who highjacked this thread? I'm with you, Marcella. I actually bailed on the thread somewhere in the 300's or so, because of the raging religious war. I wondered where the SC Primary thread went.
Only came back to reply to some pings, and now I see the Old Man has sent the squabblers elsewhere. Thank goodness!
Back to the thread!

I also believe younger conservatives, the future leaders, will be elevated to important and visible positions in his administration. After all, Newt is still a teacher at heart.

I pity anyone who goes after Newt.John King probably won’t be sitting down for weeks. And he’s just the latest!

Does anyone besides me find it extremely odd that there are NO exit poll results posted on this FOXnews website right now, with only a short time left to vote? It almost seems like Romney is being crushed so badly that they fear discouraging any last Romney voters from bothering to show.

I think Newt and Santorum are both good men, but if South Carolina goes as expected tonight, then it will be crystal clear that the only way to stop Romney is Gingrich. That suits me fine...I couldn't have said it better
Newt is not a threat to the Republic--Romney is--Obama wants to destroy it...

Gingrich commands respect and even inspires a little fear. This isnt a bad quality for a President. It has been sorely lacking in the oval office since the 1980s. Very true. Obama inspires terror...that he is going to attack and destroy everything this country is built on...combined with an urge to laugh because he is such a dim bulb that he couldn't possibly do it (although his "advisers," such as Bill Ayres, could).
But Gingrich seems to have a plan and a way to get to it and he's not going to back down.
