An Army officer speaking on behalf of special forces confirmed on Thursday that a team of "highly trained personnel that excel in uncertain environments" are operating near Iran. Spencer Ackerman just published the scoop on Wired's Danger Room blog:
The primary, day-to-day mission of the team, known as Joint Special Operations Task Force-Gulf Coordinating Council, is to mentor military units belonging to the U.S.' oil-rich Arab allies, who collectively are known as the Gulf Coordinating Council. Those Arab states consider Iran to be their primary foreign threat.
The task force provides "highly trained personnel that excel in uncertain environments," Maj. Rob Bockholt, a spokesman for special-operations forces in the Mideast, tells Danger Room, and "seeks to confront irregular threats."

Wonderful — just tell the whole world.
“Highly trained personnel who excel in uncertain environments” - Oh.....parents....they’ve sent parents over there.

I would be surprised if they were not IN Iran and had been there for some time.
Obama's birth certificate, college transcripts, etc.
I can only say to the author who wrote this shoddy article, is “DUH!” We are in Iran because that is where the enemy is and you highlighting that fact is the act of a mouthbreathing maggot.
Adam Clark Estes lives in New York City. I hope someone will publish his address and phone number, Some of the folks he’s writing about might be in the neighborhood sometime.
BS meter is high on this one.
I call them "The Mohammaden Death Cult".
Ted Striker: My orders came through. My squadron ships out tomorrow. We’re bombing the storage depots at Daiquiri at 1800 hours. We’re coming in from the north, below their radar.
Elaine Dickinson: When will you be back?
Ted Striker: I can’t tell you that. It’s classified.
mufu this ticks me off...
Eventually, people are going to respond to these treasonous bustuds.
Not to mention the 80 or so other countries that our snake eaters are ‘visiting’... plus the multiple maritime spec ops that are underway 24-7.
That’s funny right there.
In this day and age, you never know, but I would support low level training. I would not support sophisticated training. Of course we’re not going to change any minds, but it does help validate any future U. S. actions, if the U. S. can get gulf nations to admit they have a grave fear of Iran getting operational nukes.
These training exercises are a good way for the U. S. to maintain some level of contact with governments in the region. My take is that for all their bluster, these nations would be thrilled to see the U. S. neuter Iran’s nuke program.
That’s not all that bad actually. It minimizes the charge that the U. S. would be acting unilaterally to take Iran’s nuke program on. It means that the U. N. could go ahead and flap it’s gums, but most nations would realize the U. S. was doing something that had to be done.
Russian and China will never pull their head out of their posteriors, but other nations particularly in the region will know what’s up. Just about every Islamic nation will heave a sigh of relief, once Iran’s nuclear program is destroyed.
Those governments don’t want radicals in their nations obtaining nukes too. I would submit that ten minutes after Iran has developed nukes, they’ll be for sale on the black market.
I can think of some folks in the U. S. that would probably consider donating funds for the purchase of these weapons too. I sure wouldn’t put it past them.
Ultimately, The Won is not particularly concerned about his re-election.
His primary goal is to destroy this country and Western Civilization with it.
If it gets him killed in the process, he'll die happy because he knows that a billion babarians around the globe will sing his praises for generations as "The one who destroyed the Great Satan".
IF this is true, that Army Officer needs to be a PRIVATE. What an ass.
Likely disinformation or the cat was already out of the bag, so to speak.
Well put.
