It turns out Christiane Amanpour's big-time career 180 -- she went from being CNN's chief foreign correspondent to anchoring ABC's Sunday talker "This Week" -- was short-lived. On Tuesday (Dec. 13), Amanpour announced that she was stepping down from the talk show gig to return to CNN and field reporting. She will, however, continue to do some work for ABC -- including primetime specials.
"It's been an incredible experience to have had a ringside seat to democracy in action at This Week," says Amanpour in a statement. "It's been an incredible honor to anchor such a prestigious program and I thank all of you who have helped me on that journey."
George Stephanopoulos, who left "This Week" to co-anchor "Good Morning America," will be returning to his old gig while continuing his "GMA" gig.
Despite landing big interviews with former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak and late Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi, "This Week's" ratings had slipped under her tenure -- probably because of its drastic swing away from its traditional focus, domestic politics.
All the more reason to put the show back in the hands of Stephanopoulos as we head into a presidential election year.
Wherever she may go, I will go elsewhere.
Co-sign.
Yeah, that should work out well for them...
This Weak is lame no matter who is the common tater................
Which of them is worse? Anyone got a coin to flip?
I assume the only people who actually watch that show are bloggers so they can write articles on media bias. I doubt any liberals even bothered.
Stuff the War Slut’s ass into a burkha and ship her COD back to Teheran whre she came from.
He might not have the high name ID, but I thought Jake Tapper was always the best person for that spot. If he has a bias, it doesn’t show as he will ask tough questions to both sides. We know who’s side Stephy is on.

&&&
Not sure. They both hate America. She is more manly, though.
the war whore’s ass is too big to ship, shoe horn, stuff, or crate anywhere.
and that mouth...........you could park 2 Mercedes behind it
Apparently they wanted someone more feminine and with less hair on the upper lip.

Anybody catch the fact that ABC (Disney) and CNN (Turner), supposed competitors, don’t seem to have any issues sharing “talent”?
They keep recycling the same old people but expect different results each time.
Imagine—working for TWO leftie networks at the SAME time—ABC and CNN.
Guess a non-compete clause would be....unnecessary.
So it’s OUT with the douchebag, IN with the windbag....
And at the end of the day, a totally replaceable, completely interchangeable Standard Model 100(M) Liberal takes the place of Standard Model 100(F) Liberal.
In other words...nothing has changed.
George Snuffleupagus - they’re probably going to hire Carville to add some conservative ideas to the show.
