Well, I do prefer to get away to places that don't have half the rest of the world getting away to them, so I guess this fits!
Your Ideal Island Vacation is Fiji |
On an island vacation, you prefer to get the full beach experience. And for you, that means staying somewhere with few people and lots of beach.
With over 300 islands, you can find your own private spot in Fiji. Relax by the crystal clear water, or venture off to find a waterfall. |

I’ve been to five of the Hawaaian Islands (Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, and the Big Island). My favorites were Maui and Kauai, particularly the Hana area of Maui and the north shore of Kauai—although both islands have other very nice spots as well.
I also liked the Big Island, but it takes longer to see the sights there than on Maui or Kauai. Molokai was interesting and little visited, but not quite as enticing as Maui or Kauai.
The only bad way to see Hawaii is unfortunately the way that many choose: flying into Honolulu and spending all of your time in the Waikiki Beach area.

Heck...I’d enjoy any island on that list except Hong Kong.

Aloha again Night Owl! ((HUGS))
I'm only busy on the phone on weekends to the mainland. During the week, everything is short and sometimes sweet.
Think I'll skip my Ideal Island Vacation......decades in the islands does that you know.

Your Ideal Vacation is Prince Edward Island (wherever that is!) |
On an island vacation, you'd really like to immerse yourself and get to know the locals. You enjoy the idea of spending time in a small, remote locale... especially a beautiful one.
Whether you're sipping tea or enjoying the beautiful countryside, Prince Edward Island is perfect for you. It's so authentic and homey, you won't mind that you're not in the tropics. |

I got a direct flight to Lihue. I absolutely love Kauai.I researched the heck out of it and was able to drive and identify restaurants, hotels and points of interest at first sighting. I was in a state of melancholy when I left. A perfect week at a perfect place. Because of finances, I’ll probably never return but the memories I’ll have forever.

I'd love to go somewhere where there are no liberals, no occupying dirtbags, awesome bartenders, crystal clear water, nothing to bite me, air-conditioned accommodations, no bed bugs, fluffy beds with heavenly comforters, massages and motivating trainers to make me work out.

It’s a ways from Dogpatch (which I think is called Marble Falls now that the attraction has fallen into disrepair). It’s much closer to Eureka Springs which is an interesting place (I usually go there a couple of times a year). I didn’t find much at Holiday Island other than golf. Maybe I overlooked something?
