The ABC liberal brat moderator Steppy was trying to get the candidates to attack Newt on his remark that the ‘Palestinians’ were a ‘manufactured people.’
Perry changed the topic to Obama’s mishandling of the predator drone crash. He said that Obama had three choices (and he remembered them...lol) to get the drone back, destroy the drone or let the Iranians get it. He said that Obama made the worse choice.
And them Perry gave this gift to Newt:
‘This president is the problem, not something that Newt Gingrich said.’
The applause was thundering!
The liberal brat moderators were both stunned!
And that was the moment Rick Perry won this debate!
Michele Bachmann - Mary Hatch Newt Gingrich - Peter Bailey Ron Paul - Uncle Billy Rick Perry - Harry Bailey Myth Romney - Henry Potter Rick Santorum - George BaileyDeciding on a candidate is a serious business but I thought it wouldn't hurt to bring a little lighthearted fun to the thread. I'll check back after the movie finishes to see what other FReepers think, how badly I get flamed or if ozone is in my future! :-)
The best moments for all participants were when each had a chance to and then took it — to stand up for another candidate honestly and specifically, IMO.
Woah, Perry really handed it to em! Just great! :)
After hearing Perry, I thought of this:
Emeril Lagasse: BAM! Kick it up a notch!
This was something BAD about Palestine and their leaders and culture which ABC did NOT want going out live and into the living rooms of millions of Americans. I know my beloved Herman Cain would have said something like this, too, and they would have tried to shut him up on it too (or maybe threaten his grandchildren)...
And that was the moment Rick Perry won this debate!
You are correct, good analysis.
wow! I missed the debate but think just maybe you are right. That was Perry’s big moment!!
I don’t think Perry won the debate. Sometimes people might say that one person “won” the debate because that person performed better compared to expectations than other debate participants. I think compared to expectations going into the debate that Perry did perform best. This would not be difficult for Perry to achieve given the very low expectations we have for him.
But judging the performances on an absolute basis, and not compared to expectations going into the debate, Gringrich and Romney still come out on top. Having said that, Romney really screwed up in my opinion with his $10K bet challenge.
