Anybody watch the 3-Hour GOP Candidate Forum on FOX tonight? Care to weigh-in with your comments? I thought Newt was absolutely awesome. Rick Santorum was very impressive. Bachmann was o.k. Romney and Paul were.... well.... Romney and Paul. Rick Perry, bless his heart, made it difficult to watch. I held my breath as he halted in trying to stick to his stump speech talking points. Don't know if anyone else caught it but, Rick was the only candidate who, incorrectly, called the Attorneys General the "Attorney Generals". Poor Rick.
Better than expected.
Watch the reruns. You will like Newt’s 11 minutes. Very impressive. And this coming from someone deep into mourning the loss of Cain.
Thanks for the info. Newt is a really interesting guy...brilliant and in the past I didn’t think he had a chance but not so sure about that now.
That's good to hear. I guess there were no uncomfortable pauses or flubs then. He must have fine tuned things to perfection.
as compared to romney who has been salivating and drooling on himself for years to become president.
Huckabee is usually repeated on Fox news Sunday night at 8 PM.

I am struck by how much the candidates are all cookie cutter variation. Except for Paul they all think the solution is to “fix” the Government and make it “work”.
Other then Paul, none of them grasp that Government is the problem.
It is said the founding fathers considered that anyone who really wanted to be president was not fit to be president.
Perry, when asked what departments he would get rid of, immediately named several.
When asked if he would eliminate the department of education, he left no doubt.
Romney never gave a definitive answer. When asked about the department of education his reply was that he would keep it and change some things. Never said what things. Romney is more rino go along to get along.
That answer was more or less typical of the entire Romney presentation.
Gingrich, like Perry, had clear and positive answers as to what he would get rid of and what he would keep.
Question is whether or not you believe him.
I thought Perry did very well.
Bachman had some good moments but stumbled badly when asked how states would settle difficult questions involving pollution if left to their own. Completely unprepared on that topic.
Ron Paul happens to be right but he got too emotional and did not discuss 9/11 with clarity.
The reply he should have given: 9/11 never would have occurred if the agencies involved had done their job under the laws that existed at that time. The towel heads were all here illegally, no effort had been made to identify their purpose and to see that they were lawfully occupied. The FBI agent, female, who discovered the student at the flight school was told to shut up and butt out.
Firing a number of cabinet heads from the Justice Department to the local FBI and ICE offices would have put things right without the awful Patriot Act.
Rick Santorum did barely OK, but again he was too jazzed up, too emotional and did not for that reason give his best.
For my money it was Perry #1 and Newt #2.
Not sure who’s going to have the worst celebratory champagne hangover tomorrow-Romney or Axelrod - for having successfully railroaded Cain.
Although I’m ultimately going to vote for whoever runs against Obama (except Mitt), I will back Santorum until such time as a nominee is selected.
Newt, Perry and Bachmann were the best. Newt has the momentum so he’s probably the guy. I can live with any of the three.

You left out one very important point: Paul is an isolationist nutjob. I’ll take a “cookies-cutter” over a nut like Paul.

Better than Perry.
They suck because most are not our choice.
Heehee...perfect post, very well done!
Thank you. :)
Place: Mittens
Show: Perry
Fourth: Santorum
Fifth: Michele
Total Batsh*t: Paul
I thought Perry did very well. Also, FWIW, I recall Perry saying “Attorneys General.” I noticed it because I thought he would say what you heard. One of us is incorrect, but it’s no big deal.
