I first supported Palin and then Cain. Both have been hounded out. I am NOT SUPPORTING RINO Gingrich. I will now support Bachmann. If they hound her out, it is Ron Paul with whom I vehemently disagree on foreign policy. Sorry, that is how it is.
The other choices we have are the following: Gingrich the Global Warmist, Santorum the ethanol salesman and pork baron, Rick Perry the pro-bailout Governor and Mittens the socialist and abortionist.
At this point Tea Party gaining control of the Congress and Senate is important. If that happens, they can keep Hussein in check. Hussein winning a second term is bad but Mittens is worse for America.
I am open to hearing why I should not prioritize my support to various candidates in this order. I am not supporting any RINOs. I know I am willing to support Ron Paul in protest against the RINOs. You can convince me to not support Paul and abstain, but you cannot convince me to support any RINO.
I think this is important. When Gingrich didn't get his way in the House, he quit. We need someone who will fight regardless of the odds. I just wish Bachmann would quit with the platic smile. The Pelosi, Calista, Stepford Wives smile does not make one look genuine.
Didn’t Santorum also say Pakistan has to be our friend? Uh...no.
People complained about Rev. Cain’s supposed lack if understanding of foreign affairs. Obviously, there are experienced politicians who don’t understand either.
Yeah, I was totally floored when the Joe Arpaio endorsed candidate named Janet Napolitano didn’t secure the border though. What’s up with that?
Rick Perry wasn’t worth a first look and sure as hell isn’t worth a second one.
Good post.
Santorum and Bachman have few weeks to prove themselves. Bachman eas impressive in foreign policy debate, but maybe Santorum is more credible.
Newt is non-mormon version of Mitt, except Newt openly supports amnesty and obamacare mandate in federal level. Both are unacceptable.
Either Rick or Michele.
Three, two of whom are unlikely to compete. Perry is the only conservative left with money and organization to take on Romney and Gingrich.
So if you really care about stopping Gingrich and Romney, you should support Perry. If you just want to stop Romney, you can try Gingrich and hope he doesn’t implode (or really, just hope that the fickle swarm won’t abandon him like they did the last three candidates they supported, Bachmann, Perry, and then Cain).
By all objective measurements, Perry, Santorum, and Bachman are comparable conservatives. ACU ratings are good; they have similar endorsements from the various conservative groups, the NRA, pro-life organizations, and fiscal organizations. OnTheIssues shows them in comparable rankings as well.
Perry is the only conservative left with executive experience — and lots of it. And he has a solid donor base and he has money to compete.
We’ve all had fun picking on candidates for trivial issues and by exaggerating and even misrepresenting their views. Time for fun is over — it’s time to get serious. No more “my candidate or bust”, no more “forget him because he use the wrong prepositional phrase”, or “she’s perfect but her hair is funny”.
There’s a month until Iowa. That’s ONE MONTH to get a real conservative who can win the nomination.
I can’t fathom how ANYBODY could say “the polls have spoken” with a straight face. Not after “Bachman nears 1st place”, “Perry takes commanding lead”, and “Cain rides on top of the pack”.
Gingrich is just the latest default candidate for the swarm to pick. Every poll shows that less than half those answering are actually ready to PICK a candidate, and even fewer are committed to the candidate they already picked. Some polls show over 80% are willing to switch candidates, meaning Gingrich has 50% of 20%, or about 10% solid support.
I’ve read quoted statements from RP about fags in the military. He thinks they’re fine, is fine with the repeal of DADT. I’m not going to find them, I’m too busy. But that’s the unvarnished truth.
The only one left is Ron Paul to be honest. I can’t support Newt or Romney, primary OR general
Doesn’t this show that Conservatives are obsessed with what the leftist media think of them? The left will lie about a Conservative candidate and the Conservatives will drop support for that candidate. For the past few years, they’re convinced that the problem was Palin, not that they themselves are weak
“I just hope she can stop with the gaffes.”
Might as well hope for snow in Florida.
True that, but with the others it is just more of the same. At least with Paul you get someone serious about the Constitution and spending. But he is terrible on Islam, truly awful.
Based on this, her chances are good.;)
But I know what you mean. It's a good thing we still have some time to sort this out, because this isn't looking good.
Unvarnished bovine excrement is more like it.
Ask the supporters of the “Lesser of two evils” concept how thats working with the Congress? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2815716/posts
Agreed on all counts.
“No matter how crazy Paul is, I do not think that he will not act if Moslems attack us. He may not start wars or indulge in preemptive strikes.”
WTF?? They’ve already attacked us and his response was that America asked for it.
“When Gingrich didn’t get his way in the House, he quit.”
You need to spend a little time researching what went on, because you’re sorely mistaken about the circumstances. I’ll be happy to provide some links if you would like.
