I first supported Palin and then Cain. Both have been hounded out. I am NOT SUPPORTING RINO Gingrich. I will now support Bachmann. If they hound her out, it is Ron Paul with whom I vehemently disagree on foreign policy. Sorry, that is how it is.
The other choices we have are the following: Gingrich the Global Warmist, Santorum the ethanol salesman and pork baron, Rick Perry the pro-bailout Governor and Mittens the socialist and abortionist.
At this point Tea Party gaining control of the Congress and Senate is important. If that happens, they can keep Hussein in check. Hussein winning a second term is bad but Mittens is worse for America.
I am open to hearing why I should not prioritize my support to various candidates in this order. I am not supporting any RINOs. I know I am willing to support Ron Paul in protest against the RINOs. You can convince me to not support Paul and abstain, but you cannot convince me to support any RINO.
With Cain out, the fix is in. It’s either Newt or Slick Mitt. And either way, it’s 4 more years of Maobama.
Kinda makes me think the Republicans are secretly on BHO’s payroll with the way they’re running this time. It’s even worse than the 1996 presidential campaign.
I’m supporting Michele Bachmann.
I’m not trying to be unfair. I’m just calling it like I see it. What I’ve seen of Bachmann in this campaign hasn’t been flattering at all.
Most Americans are unfamiliar with the Money Question, since the last election where it took center stage was held in 1896. But it's still out there.
The fact that we have not addressed the Money Question (what is money? and who decides?) in so long has created enormous uncertainty which is wrecking our economy.
Maybe (and I hope not), by next August, it will be Dr. Paul's moment.
>> Looks like you will be supporting Obama then. <<
Wow! I was not aware that Bachmann, Huntsman, Johnson, Paul, Perry, Romney, Roemer, and Santorum had also suspended this campaigns this morning, thus leaving us with the only option of... Newt or Obama. Thanks for enlightening us. I could have sworn there were more Republicans besides Newt running.
If you believe that the worse thing that could possibly happen is 4 more years of Barry the great pretender .. then the logical thing to do is cast your vote to ensure that the “worse” can’t happen. Since I condsider the economy and jobs to be the overriding priority, then for me, that means I vote for someone I believe is “electable” and will address the priority. While I respect your right to cut off you nose to spite your face, I will vote for Romney, or Gingrich as one of these are likely to be the nominee. Unless the third party candidate is Al Gore, then all a third party does is give Oblamer another 4 years. Quite frankly, we can’t survive 4 more years.
Nothing wrong with your thinking, I agree, I will never vote for the amnesty and big government gang.
OK, Bachman is good in many ways.
But she is lack luster in the debates and has narrow experience compared to Gingrich who understands a huge variety of historical, domestic and international issues.
Newt will not be labeled as stupid — wouldn’t that be a nice change? — and they can’t smear him with sex scandals he hasn’t already dealt with.
While he has tipped his hat to AGW goons, he offers market solutions instead of government take overs — the real harm to belief in global warming. For many voters to deny global warming is like denying science. Newt’s position neutralizes the harm of agreeing with the warmists.
Newt seems a lot better dealing with pressure of public eye and in making market ideas sound reasonable. He is the only one who has succeeded in eliminating a huge federal welfare program when he lead congress. Repeating that record of cutting government programs is what we need now.
Yeah all those ridiculous attempts to end slavery in America through legislation did absolutely nothing. Silly Republicans, passing that whole 13th amendment thing. Stephen A. Douglas so much smarter.
That’s where I’m headed too buddy. I’m hoping Gingrich takes NH and forces Romney out. I am really looking at Bachmann she has been consistent she voted against things like Medicare part D which has had horrible consequences something both Gingrich and Santorum supported. She has held the line. Those who criticize her for not ‘getting things done’ are idiots. Sometimes the only thing you can do is be principled in your opposition when you don’t have the control of the reigns of power. The key thing for me is that when she could’ve been soft and just went along under Bush she did not and that is a feature we need.
It is time to elect a President who knows how to say ‘NO!’. Who agrees that we’ve had enough spending and enough big govt and who doesn’t give a damn what the liberal media says on the matter. The reason I supported Cain rather than her after Palin bowed out is I saw an advantage to his private sector business experience and taking the race card off the table.
So I’m with you. There aren’t many candidates that have proven their spine the way Bachmann and Paul have. We need to stop rewarding those who are narcissist power hungry types. Newt reminds me of Nixon and I don’t think we need another one of those or the Gerald Ford/HW Bush hybrid that Romney represents.
Right now though I’m very happy Romney is getting bested by Newt Gingrich that has to be making him insane. If that doesn’t show how weak a candidate he is nothing will. :-)
RonPaul thinks fags in the military is fine. He thinks the US government somehow is the cause of Moslem jihadi terrorism. He thinks that abortion is a states rights issue.
Those three right there (or even one of them) is a killer. He will never will even if he did run.
I guess I am, too. She’s still right on most of the issues. I just hope she can stop with the gaffes.
As I stated, I am willing to drop the libertarian from my list and draw the line with conservatives. The others are not even libertarians, but closet liberals.
Replacing Obama means squat if the person you replacing them drives you off the same cliff.
I pray my sons will not have to go to war to get our country back.
That is okay. The silver lining is that the RINO hold on GOP will be further weakened for 2016. Between Jan 2013 and Jan 2017, Obama can be kept in check by the Congress and Senate. Obama's second term will not be as bad as his first if people like you do not gut the campaign of Tea Party candidates like you did in 2010.
It may be discouraging. But, "Anybody but Obama" is our duty now. Think of the soldiers who died for this nation? We need to do everything we can, including voting for a less than a perfect candidate, if the USA (and perhaps freedom in the western world) is going to survive.
If nothing else, the SCOTUS is reason enough. Obama will appoint more lesbian Communists to the court.
The polls have spoken.
Newt will win. Most of Cain’s support went to him already.
The rest will split mostly to Newt, and some drips will go to these single-digit folks.
So yelling and screaming about voting 3rd party or Palin or for Obama is just that. Yelling for attention.
If I have to settle, I will settle for Newt in the drivers seat before I act like a damn fool and help Obama.
Just vote for Obama and get it over with.
Precisely.
Ron Paul is RINO in that hes Libertarian, and hardly conservative outside of some of his fiscal policies
