Ballots with Obama's name facing more legal challenges (Georgia)

Only a week after there was a formal hearing in the state of New Hampshire on a request to remove Barack Obama's name from the 2012 presidential primary election ballot over allegations of fraud, state officials in Georgia are facing a related request.

Activist Carl Swensson, who runs the RiseUpForAmerica.com website, and has been integral in campaigns to have Obama investigated, told WND that not only has he petitioned the state secretary of state, but some half a dozen others have done the same thing.

In his complaint letter to Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp, Swensson wrote that while Obama is listed as the only Democrat candidate, he must be removed "as he does not meet the minimum qualifications as set forth in Article II Section I Clause V concerning the natural born citizen status."

"Jurisdiction falls squarely on the shoulders of your office as head of the Georgia Board of Elections and it is your sworn duty as a man of honor and public servant to protect and defend the Constitution," he wrote. "The very U.S. Constitution that is now under attack and assault by the DNC for having failed in their responsibility to submit an eligible candidate for inclusion on our ballot."

Swensson noted there is no "federal convening authority chartered" with the responsibility of making sure presidential candidates are eligible, so he said that leaves it to states.

"You cannot fail us now and must uphold your oath of office by adhering to the constitutional requirement that any candidate of the office of POTUS be a natural born citizen," he wrote. "One of your main jobs is to make certain there is no election fraud."

Swensson also mentions Obama's use of a Conn. Social Security number.

I support challenges in all 50 States; but at the same time I won’t hold my breath waiting that even one state will do the right thing and keep his name off the ballot.

But, imagine the implications if just one state does disqualify him. It is probably worth the 1 in 1 Billion shot.

As more and more conservative people are elected to represent a variety of state and local elected office they will have more and more strength to do what is right. If conservatives get control of the House and Senate then the O is out of the loop. If he retaliates in any way then he will be impeached. If he is impeached for being ineligible then all he has done will be erased. All his appointments, anything he has signed will be void. With an angry enough electorate it could happen even after the election and the O is removed from office he could still be impeached.

Talk about a long shot, but it would sure be wonderful. If it happens after he is out of office the people on the left won't care that much because they won't realize what it will mean.

So what! Perhaps you haven’t noticed that federal grants typically result in states committing to projects of questionable value thereby wasting state funds. And when the fed money dries up, the state is stuck with maintaining the pork du jour or cutting services - usually accompanied by cries that republicans are starving children, firing teachers, police, and firefighters, and throwing granny under a bus. Fed funds just make prostitutes out of the states.

The issue is that he is not a “Natural born citizen”, “Native born” isn’t mentioned in the Constitution.

Anchor babies may be native born, but are definitely not natural born citizens.

Mayhap you are making half my argument. As it stands, states get some money from the Fed., if a state rejects Obama by not putting him on the ballot, they could, conceivably receive none if our present as&le is re-elected.

Just speculation on my part.

Our Governor Nathan Deal wrote a letter to Obama prior to running for governor last year and asked him to provide proof of his eligibility. He got no answer of course. Maybe the GA AG or Secretary of State will do something but I’m not holding my breath.
