Hosted by the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute, the theme of tonight's Republican presidential debate is foreign policy and national security.
The debate is being held at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.
CNN is carrying the debate live at 8 p.m. EST.
Participating candidates are: businessman Herman Cain, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, Reps. Ron Paul (TX) and Michele Bachmann (MN), former Gov. Jon Huntsman, and former Sen. Rick Santorum.
Why should anyone who is here illegally be allowed to stay? What message does that send to the over 4 million intending immigrants waiting overseas for their turn to enter the US. They have filled out all the paperwork, got the necessary background checks, and physcial exams. Yet, if you got here illegally and probably are working illegally and committed ID theft, you are allowed to stay. Does the Rule of Law mean anything?
You are now hereby banned from Free Republic for writing that sickening sentence. Off you go, Paulie. LOL!
Think corporate support.
Once some of these people start dropping out, it is a whole new ball game. Gingrich benefits from Cains slip in the polls. Once Bachman and Huntsman and Santorum drop out, the picture will change a lot.
“What all of these politicians dont get is you cant be here 25 years and not be breaking the law....”
We need a *like* button.
“If you served in the Army, how can you sit there and claim that your life is more important than your freedom?”
Should I be happy to be dead if my corpse is “free?”
Michelle also nailed Newt on the worker legalization answer. Ticked him off that she questioned his answer.
lol!
“Gingrich - Romney tie
Cain-Perry tie
Bachman- Santorum tie
Huntsman
Paul (Still running the presidency of Iran!)”
I agree.
Perry’s answer was spot on...until borders secured, everything else is just yakity...
Texas has been buying drones.
No thanks to the rest of America.
Perry can stay at the bottom with Huntsman and Paul.
or land mines! :)
Now from our out of control violent borders, lets go to Syria.
I served with green card holders who gained citizenship before Reagans policies went into effect.
Ooops. Now the RATs are going to support Noot. President Gingrich.
If you listened to Romney’s last answer, he essentially conceded that he would not deport illegals with long ties in America, which was Newt’s point. Looking at the fundamentals, Newt=Perry=Romney on the issue of deportation of illegals.
Right on.
“Herman Cain, you may not know this but...”
WTH?
Cool. David Addington is throwing them a hardball. Let’s see how they answer this. Cain is trying now.
