Did Mr. Cain say this? LOVE IT!!!! I mean REALLY LOVE IT!!!!
I would love four years of hearing Cain joke about liberals, it could bring the sanity back...
Just saw a Reuters story that opines that Cain’s popularity is waning. LOL. Simply ignores the polls and Cain’s fund raising that validates them.
I could buy a Cain/Newt combo. But Newt is from the South. Won’t help get votes in the rest of the country. And there is a taint about him concerning his commitment to conservative principles. That global warming photo op with Pelosi went over like a lead knish with Tea Party conservatives. What was he thinking?
If I was debating Biden at some point I’d ask him if he needed some GasX and I’d hand him some. He always looks angry and sour.
I agree.
“But Newt is from the South. Wont help get votes in the rest of the country.”
I think it’s time the conventional “wisdom” of a regionally balanced ticket gets thrown out the window. There are precious few conservatives north of the mason dixon line and we’re probably better off leaving them where they sit to fight the good battle.
The important thing in my view are whether the VP candidate compliments the Presidential candidate. And do they respect and get along with one another? In the case of Cain and Gingrich, it looks to be a good match. And I think Mr. Gingrich may be very pleasantly surprised at how important his role could be in a Cain White House. A President that trusts and respects his VP can delegate all sorts of things down to him. Why not delegate responsibility for executive orders to the VP? From a legal perspective, the President would still have to sign them. But if it’s just a signature that’s needed, that’s easy. And that could just be a start.
With the internet, geographical importance is not nearly as important as it used to be.
Newt against Joe the Dumber.
Kinda like the ‘27 Yankees against the ‘62 Mets.
Hank
“LOL, hes on a roll.”
Well his campain has certainly been a “Rick Roll.”
Reminds me of the movie “Monty Brewster’s Millions.” “Vote none of the above!”
Further evidence of the lack of wisdom on Newts part that I pointed out on another thread.
Go Herman Go!!!
Honkies for Herman
BTTT!
I wouldn’t mind seeing Cain/Gingrich either, but to have both sides of the ticket coming from the same state might be problematic.
“As for Kristol - he is a Beltway hack and lacks credibility any longer.”
Yep - I wish he’s do us all a favor and retire.
That was such a great discussion/debate. Informative and not driven by sound bite incentive. I was impressed by both men.So glad CSPAN is on basic cable. I would not have missed that for the world.
The depth these cretins will go to destroy Cain is astounding. Any chance of me ever even thinking of holding my nose and voting for the 'Establishment duo' of Romperry is completely and forever gone. If they are successful I hope the B*st*rds enjoy another 4 years of Obama.
Enjoy the rah-rah for now. It amazes me you folks like this candidate who cannot even answer a question during a debate with ONE other person and has to defer to the other guy because he has no flippin idea what the answer is. Doesn't know that China has nukes, would trade prisoners for hostages with terrorist groups, but changed his mind, will not replace his campaign manager for making false allegations without basis, and a whole list of blunders.
This guy has as much business being president as Obama did. Which equals zero. I don't want to replace one zero with another. The guy is absolutely incompetent for this job.
For me, the only 2 worth considering are Perry and Gingrich. And I was for Gingrich before Perry announced. Perry has the most comprehensive jobs and tax proposals of anyone. If you'll notice, the debate with Cain and Gingrich was a copyfest of Perry's ideas and regurgitating them as if they were their own.
If Cain decided to simply announce right now that Gingrich is his choice for veep if he gets the nomination, he can forget about getting my vote in the primary.
Looking at thread and how many freepers are swooning over the possibility of Newt as veep, it appears the usual freeper amnesia has set in (Congressman Peter King is a benefactor of this phenomenon every time he's up for re-election!), and oodles of freepers have forgotten how hard Next Gingrich pimped Dede Scozzafava for Congress, sat on the couch with Nancy Pelosi for a global warming ad, referred to Paul Ryan's plan as "right-wing social engineering", and embarrassed us on an almost daily basis when he was Speaker.
I haven't forgotten. Go to hell, Newt. (Ditto with all the freepers who want to give pretty boy John Thune a promotion)
