Huntsman’s numbers went up and Romney’s went down. Guess we know where Romney’s went! LOL

Has Gingrich showed real public honesty and repentance of his reckless behavior as Speaker and betrayal to his (ex-wife) in the 90’s? Since I haven’t seen that (could have missed it), I don’t really trust him in office. I feel like Newt is very good in the “forum of ideas” world and maybe as a think-tank-type adviser of some sort.

Why would the Democrats wait for a new sales tax? They can do what you complain about with the current tax code right now

Difference between now and 9-9-9 is EVERYONE is paying taxes under 9-9-9 so EVERYONE knows a tax hike effect THEM as well as everyone else.

Right now you can hide a tax hike by claiming it is “just a tax on business” or “making the rich pay their fair share”

Of course Bill Kristol said this morning that we all knew Cain was not going to be the nominee. It appears Bill is not paying attention.

This will be Kristol after the Convention when it is Cain / Gingrich

Remain Calm!!!!

Newt's personal morality is between him and God. My concern have more to do with his political morality.

Wish I had been smart enough to stay out of the primary fight like you have been. :-)

You could well be right, I don’t know. I can only speculate based on my take on things.

I don’t know either. We’re in the same “speculate” boat.

Am risking breaking the rules here, but think this relates to Cain. An excellent post by excopconsertaive from Report: Sarah Palin Reconsidering Run For Presidency. Post 198.

"All of us are trying to get our heads around the overall picture of the race for the White House and how Sarah Palin fits in. If we listen carefully, we notice some consistencies and some inconsistencies that are very telling.

Starting around Sept 1st, Gov. Palin began focusing on “crony capitalism”. Now, she may have used the words before that, but not as a central theme of her speeches. At the same time the phrase, “I’m not for sale” began to be used. Since Sept. 1st, she has been consistent in her use of these themes. Around the same time, the Solyndra fiasco being only the tip of the iceberg also became a part of her speeches and that there would be many more revelations coming.

What is inconsistent is the October 5th decision. Why should she be railing against crony capitalism if it means taking down people on her own team who are trying to defeat Obama? Why would anyone care if she can’t be bought if she’s not running for anything?

Sept. 1st was a turning point in the Palin campaign. It was the point where a strategy was developed on how to proceed and what her campaign was going to be about and how it would be differentiated from the other candidates.

Now we learn that her adviser, Peter Schweizer has a book coming out on Nov. 15th called “Throw Them All Out: How politicians and their friends get rich off insider stock tips, land deals, and cronyism that would send the rest of us to prison.” We also know that Jack Abramoff’s book, “Capitol Punishment: The Hard Truth About Washington Corruption from America’s Most Notorious Lobbyist”, is coming out next week and will get “60 Minutes” coverage this Sunday. There is every reason to believe that Peter would have shared his work with Gov. Palin. Although she would probably not have dealings with Abramoff, pre-pubs of his book have been released to media and it would be reasonable that she would have been able to get access to it.

Steve Bannon and Andrew Breitbart have also indicated that they are working on projects more controversial than “The Undefeated” that will break about a month before the Iowa caucus. It is believed these involve corruption in government. On November 3rd, she spoke to the Florida GOP and stayed with the same themes about corruption and pending revelations. Not once did she mention the field of Republican candidates, strange for a person in the role of cheerleader.

We know that if any of the allegations in the various books and videos involve any of the Republican candidates, the media will tear them apart. Gov. Palin likely knows who the allegations will involve. She may be the cleanest politician in history. She has never had to get involved in the party machinery to get elected. She has always run against the machine. She may be the only governor ever elected, with the possible exception of Jesse Ventura, who didn’t have to get their hands dirty raising money or dealing with party bosses.

So how do we explain the October 5th decision? When the revelations come out in November, all candidates will be examined thoroughly. By coming in from the outside, Gov. Palin becomes an honest solution and you can bet she will have a plan to clean up D.C. She misses very little by losing out on NH, SC, and FL. There will be plenty of delegates remaining to win the nomination. So, was her decision solely strategic? Probably not. Her family probably did have some reservations and certainly finances would have been considered. Family considerations can change as would her evaluation of the Republican field. An honest politician running a campaign against corruption and depending on voter contributions won’t have to worry about receiving them. Campaigning against corruption is what Gov. Palin did to get elected in Alaska.

The next couple of weeks will tell the story. The Herman Cain story will have played out. The corruption books will impact and Gov. Palin will be sitting in the catbird seat."

Usually don't watch 60 Minutes, but am watching Abramoff tonight. . A precursor to the above strategy?

We'll see. . Pray for America. . . We the People. .

There you go - reading my mind again, and posting my very thoughts.

I’m sure you speak for millions of other Palin supporters. I mean, where else were we supposed to go? It’s clear that Cain is closer to what we see in Sarah, than any of the other candidates.

For now, he’s got my vote for the asking.

Cain’s recent poll numbers have got to be keeping Mittens up at night. It’s apparent that he’s Salieri, to Cain’s Mozart. No contest.

Amen, brother, or sister. I read your homepage to find out, but you gave me no clue (unless I missed it, which would not be surprising).

With the new national sales tax in place, the Democrats will use that tool in the future to tax us to death.

Apply a bit of reasoning to what you're saying. Ask yourself: How hard is it for Congress to raise a transparent tax rate that affects everyone in the country equally?

Answer: Harder than you can imagine, and more difficult than they have the will to do.

Rush said last week Newt did not do as the legend says, the dramatic walk in on the cancer-stricken wife, throw down the divorce announcement and walk out. It was Rush's position that that was one of the major things people know which isn't so.

I view the two as complementary, that Herman Cain evinces the inspiring passion and success and optimism, while no one has the panoply of history on speed-dial as does Newt Gingrich.

It's horsepower and horsepower, while Obama-Biden is what Webb Hubbell's father in law Seth Ward would call Horse(deleted)-Horse(deleted).

The problem has been raised that the youth want American Idol to choose their candidate, but I think not; not when President Gaga has made their future jobless debt beyond the horizon.

This is a team which could put American energy on a fast track and America's enemies on notice.

Watch for a double ration of poison from the carping harpies and shrieking fairies of the media when they get their scripts from Karl Rove and David Axelrod, closet lovers.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. [ / seinfeld ]

Brother Windy, here.

If no Palin, there is only Cain.

Without Palin, he's the only logical choice for me. Every other Palin supporter I've talked to, has said the same.

I believe that Herman will try to accomplish many of the same things that Palin would, and will hew toward a Reaganesque handling of his duties as president. That's all that I ask.

Ohhhh, my brother from a different mother!!! I LOVED that line, lol.

Herman will kick some butt, especially if we take Congress, which I believe we have a good shot.

What, Cain’s numbers are up? No, can’t be. After the Great Debate last night the msm today is claiming he’s fast losing the polls. Hmmm, or maybe they’re lying AGAIN.

Go, Cain!!!

There’s a chance he won’t be, but I really hate that the “establishment” guys absolutely refuse to believe he has a chance, even when he’s leading Mittens by 15%.
