At least there won’t be a bumbling, stumbling, stuttering moron tonight.

I still don’t get why Cain is giving Newt such a huge opportunity.

From what I've read, Cain was asked by this group earlier this year, after they were impressed with what he was saying. This was before Cain began his rise. Gingrich was asked to debate Cain after Gingrich complained about the gotcha debates.

Here's the kicker: Rick Perry was also asked to participate in a one-on-one moderator-free debate.

Perry was given the opportunity to pick his opponent. Perry refused the debate.

"This shows true grit for Herman Cain"

Yes it does, the only two adults in the race. Newt and Cain.

Ha! Reminds me of what my brother said a couple months ago when he learned my son and his fiancee had decided to move their wedding up to October 22nd....he said: “who schedules a wedding during football season?!” LOL! Needless to say, he didn’t make it. :^( Oh well, indeed, his loss!

No worries.

Winning a debate and winning the hearts and minds of people are two different things.

No apple pie???

I am eating the second great American pie: pumpkin pie with whipped topping and easy to make Crisco crust:

Easy Crisco Pie Crust

1 c. flour with a little salt, with a pastry blender, blend in 1 c. Crisco shortning, then with fork add 1/4 c. water. Form a ball, roll out and patch the mistakes in the pan. It comes out perfect every time!

Cain/Gingrich is my dream team at this point. This could be a very good thing for both men, and for us. ... they’ll be targeted by the nazis anyhow.

Yeah, Ron Paul won’t be there.

Neither will the best Reagan conservative in the bunch... Rick Perry.

Lol, me too. My sister is forcing me to have Thanksgiving this year, as I have done every year prior. Guess there’s no getting out of it.

She usually takes care of the pies. I do the rest, well, with help from my mother.

What makes you think Cain is the one at risk here? Give the way the Newt camp has so inflated expectations if Newt stumbles even an iota it will fatally damage him

Basic rule of political campaigns. Don’t raise expectations so high your candidate cannot meet them.

All the exception are for Newt to “mop up the floor with Cain”. If Cain has even a fair showing, he now wins since the expectations for Newt have been so inflated

HAAAA! Perry was invited. He turned the invite down. Reagan would of been here

So spare us the silly bombast. Perry is not fit to tie Reagan’s shoes

I would feel a lot better about 2012 if Romney and Perry magically changed poll positions. Romney should be in single digits. That he is anywhere near the top does not speak well of the current GOP
