Free Republic founder Jim Robinson has a message for supporters of Mitt Romney: go away.
In an email to POLITICO this afternoon, Robinson admitted that the site routinely blocks Romney supporters from posting -- and offered no apologies for the practice:
Free Republic is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-small government, pro-constitution, pro-liberty site. Governor Romney is none of the above. His record is that of an abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun grabbing, global warming advocating, big government, mandate loving, constitution trampling, flip-flopping liberal progressive with no core values. That and the fact that he is the chief architect and advocate for ObamaCare disqualifies him for any consideration whatsoever on Free Republic as a potential nominee for the presidency.

Sorry I misunderstood Elsie :-)
I appear to have touched the third rail or something.
That’s ok; I get misunderstood a LOT!
Of course. In what way is he not?
I disagree. I think the media would actually take it easier on Romney than Cain. Look what the media is doing to Cain right now...they are absolutely destroying him.
of COURSE!!
They HAVE to take out the BLACK in the PRIMARY, who can beat the HALF-black in the GENERAL!
No, no, no...
In what way IS he?
Well... he's more than 35 yrs old, and is a Natural Born US citizen.
Experience-wise, he was a Govenor of an important state, and has significant experience in business in the finance arena.
There are PLENTY of reasons to not want to vote for Mitt Romney. This thread is full of them. But, it's silly to try to say he's "not qualified".
We can all "personally disqualify" him, based on his stand on the issues. But, that doesn't mean he's not technically qualified to fill the office.

Velly intelesting. the comments are now closed..
Agree...sort of my point. Romney went around the block once in 2008 and they’ve dredged up whatever they are going to dredge up at this point. He’s been “vetted”
Do you give money to FR??
Because his isolationist foreign policy ideology would be suicidal for us, that’s why.
: )
Yup; just like O was 'qualified'.
Well...
That Natural born thingy is a bit iffy; but OTHERWISE...
And I am QUITE sure that the media has learned it's lesson.
They will REALLY investigate MORMONism a whole lot more than they examined O's location of birth.
How’s that? In addition to funding the IMF and the U.N., both Marxist hotbeds, we have U.S. Military personnel deployed in more than 150 nations around the world. We have been footing the defense bill for Western Europe since WWII (UK, Germany, Italy, Spain) so they can socialize their economies and rot from within.
We are engaged in the Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Uganda, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Philippines, Japan, and Panama to name a few while dancing to Israel’s tune.
If you think all that is wise, vote for Romney or another “mainstream” Republican. Instead, why not export and encourage real individual freedom around the world?
Good for you. I preach from the mountain tops that Romney is just a Dem in Republican disguise.
he’s more than 35 yrs old, and is a Natural Born US citizen. ...
it’s silly to try to say he’s “not qualified”.

Yeah hyes old and looks it alright
as for that “npt qualified” Im not trying...
Im saying hes not qualified
His father George was born in Mexico...
and never became an American citizen...
so Williard Mitt Romney is not a Natural Born Citizen...
hes equal to Barry Dunham-Soetoro in erligibility...
Thats why Willie Mitty has said it doesnt matter about Barrys Dad...
because he wants it to not matter about his own...
Suppose Romney is the guy. Then what? God, I can’t imagine the problems then. We don’t need another McCain. I don’t know if I can hold my nose any longer. This election is too critical and important for a Romney president. We don’t need another crap candidate. I’ll vote for Romney it that’s my only choice, but for crying out loud, can’t we do better that this?
Thank you, Jim Robinson. And this is why Free Republic is the best and most true Conservative site on the worldwideweb.
