Purpose of FR and why we can never support Mitt Romney

Edited on 10/15/2011 1:54:20 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

Our purpose and goal on FR is to restore, defend, preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States and to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity!!

The goal of the domestic enemy (the left), i.e., the statist liberals, Marxists and progressives is just the opposite.

The goal of the establishment RINO is to gain control of political power, but not to otherwise rock the boat. The boat continues taking on water and listing sharper to port every time the left takes over, but the unprincipled RINOs do absolutely nothing to right her when they get a chance. In fact, the RINOs actually tack on plenty of their own unconstitutional baggage when they're in power and so our ship of state today is in pretty bad shape.

RINO Romney is one of the worst. We can thank him for being the chief architect of ObamaCare, which if we cannot get overturned and repealed, will finally accomplish the left's major objective of shredding the final remnants of our tattered constitution and ending our God-given Liberty forever (they think).

The liberals believe our constitution is a flawed document written in a different time for different circumstances by rich old racist white men and no longer applies to today's circumstances. They're now even trying to promote the idea that the constitution was never intended to limit or restrict the powers of government.

Like hell! That was and is its primary intent! And we who have sworn an oath to defend it, will defend it--from all enemies, foreign and domestic!

And that's FR's purpose and reason for being.

Romney may be a Republican, and that's questionable, because he's violated nearly every plank in the Republican party's official pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Constitution, pro-Liberty platform, but he's definitely no conservative. In fact his record is that of a statist liberal progressive. And he's a total fraud to boot, with a nasty habit of lying--about everything. He'll do and say anything if he thinks it will help him get elected. He's a two-bit, unprincipled political whore.

Here's Romney's record on some of our primary issues of concern compared to Obama's:

Issue: Obama Romney
Pro-Abortion check check
Gun-grabber check check
Gay rights check check
Gov forced healthcare check check
Tax payer funded abortion check check
Man-made global warming check check
Liberal judges check check
Liberal appointees check check
Ted Kennedy pal check check
Proven liar check check
Fraud check check
Liberal Progressive check check
Enemy of Reagan/Bush check check
Enemy of the tea party check check
Enemy of Liberty check check
Defender of the Constitution no no
Conservative no no
Works across the aisle no yes
Architect of ObamaCare no yes
Domestic Enemy check check
Useful idiot check check

All of the above plus much more is documented in the RomneyTruth files on FR. Click the RomneyTruthFile keyword at the top of the main page. Also watch the "New Romney Campaign Video" also linked at the top of the main page. Watch it all the way through. I even saw some clips I'd never seen before. Pretty damning stuff for anyone running for president as a Republican.

Let's face it folks, the elite establishment RINO corps hates the tea party, hates conservatives, are afraid and even ashamed to have us identify ourselves as Republicans, feel we are dangerous extremist, racist, bigoted bible thumping, gun-toting, flag-waving neanderthals. The tea party is the best thing to happen for America since 1776 and our tea party candidates are the best thing for the GOP since Ronald Reagan, but what do the elite establishment RINOs do? They declare us the enemy! They went after Sarah Palin and some of our other tea party candidates with bared fangs and talons. Karl Rove and company were and continue to be as nasty and shameless on the attack as the nastiest lying liberal. Sarah Palin was the most exciting new face in GOP politics in a century and would have been a landslide 57 state victory over the corrupt, lying Marxist/progressive Obama. But the good ol' boys, i.e., the elite establishment corrupt crony capitalist GOP bastards could have none of that. Instead, they've opted to go all in with a corrupt, lying statist/progressive of their own: Willard (the Rat) Romney.

Well, good luck getting the Rat elected without the committed grassroots, pro-life, pro-constitution conservatives or the majority of the tea party.

FR, for one, will not play that game. NO MORE RINOS!!

No Romney. NOT ON FR!! NOT ON MY WATCH!!

Should Romney be "the one," I'll vote for the down-ticket conservatives on the ballot, but I will not vote for an abortionist, gay-rights pushing, gun-grabbing, global-warming advocating, big government healthcare mandating statist/progressive for president!! I'd rather write-in the name of the tea party conservative who best matches my beliefs. Romney is no 80 percenter. Not even close! He's the backstabbing enemy within.

God bless America!!

Long live the Republic!!

Right now, Cain. He is my first choice. However I would vote for Bachmann as well. I would hold my nose and vote for New, Santorum, Probably not Perry. Not Hunstman or Paul ever. And I would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER under any circumstances vote for Romney, either in primary or general. Like I said, I know too much to ever do so and as a Christian, I could not do so. Character matters and Romney has none.

I do very much agree that character matters.
Perry and Hunstman are out for me - The rest are not out for me - I truly hope Cain will do the things I want him to do so he can regain my trust and vote. His recent electric fence idea gained a lot of points with me.

I love the electric fence idea, but I used to spend my summers on a farm so it resonates with me. LOL.

When the issue (in-state tuition) came before the legislature in 2001, the House (which at the time had a 78-72 Democratic majority) voted 142-1 in favor. The Senate, with a 16-15 Republican majority, voted 27-3 to pass it. (Then, Republican Governor Rick Perry signed the bill into law.)

patriot08, you can make excuses for Perry signing it in 2001, but in 2007 when Republican legislators were talking about overturning it, Perry came out and defended it in public. And then in 2011 during a national debate, Perry again supported it, even insulting those who were questioning him.

To top it all off, Perry's campaign communications director had this to say this week: “It is at least interesting that a 10-year-old law that passed with little opposition and treats Texas residents equally would be an issue”

Imagine that - Perry's campaign believes illegal immigrants (or "criminals" as I prefer to call them) should be treated as equals to Americans who are here legally.

When are you going to accept the fact that Perry has embraced this legislation, has defended it multiple times over the last decade, and believes that illegals should be treated "equally" to legal Americans? What else does Perry need to do or say or have his campaign say to convince you of this? Would Perry addressing La Raza's national conference convince you? Wait, he did just that last year, which puts him in the same company with McCain and Obama.

Ah, you can tell it’s grifter time again. JR only posts these long screeds when he needs freepers to pony up. It’s the closest he ever comes to actually working for a living.

I like Bachmann a lot. She’s my personal favorite of the current crop.

Hi Jim, hope all is well. I'm a big fan of Michelle, but unfortunately don't see her making it through the primary cycle at this point. My hope now is that Freepers can put aside their differences once a (hopeful) Cain nomination comes about, wreck Obama at a historical level.

.

Rick Perry stated that the drug war may require our military in Mexico

Rick Perry considers securing the border the responsibility of the govmt and has requested additional funding for years from the govmt. to secure the border without results.
He vows as POTUS to put enough boots on the ground secure the border.

Do you agree with the above, and do you think Rick Perry will do as he says he will?

Texas is not the only state to grant in-state tuition.

Gov Perry must have had a very difficult job with a state full of Mexicans, RINOS and Demorats fighting him every step of the way.
I believe he will do as he says if he is POTUS- secure the border.
At any rate, I am willing to forgive him if he has not been able to do that much about illegal aliens.
This election is going to be about jobs- and nobody has done a better job at creating jobs than Texas.

Holy Mackerel! Been gone all day and look what I missed!

When America is sliding precipitously into the abyss, some will argue grabbing onto the Romney rope will save us if no other choice is available. Indeed, it has the appearance of a lifeline. But it isn't securely fastened to the anchor of constitutional and conservative principles. We are duped and the fall continues unabated.

"Better this than that" they say. They keep saying this, but still we slide into the chasm.

I'm done with the Washington DC elitists regardless of the party affiliation. Too often the establishment demands we settle...we compromise. No more. No more counterfeit conservatives and statist RINOs.

Thank you, Jim.

Romney flooded Iowa with glossy brochures in 2008. Today he works behind the scenes to foreshorten the primary process which is derailing his campaign.

He represents a soullessness less focused than that of Obama.

Obama evinces a fiery pursuit of evil, working to kill babies who survive botched abortions, tirelessly sabotaging the American ethos at every turn.

Romney is the mere Judas, or Quisling, the coward shrinking from defense of life and God's natural law.

The conservative who represents all three elements: defense, fiscal, social, is the one we want.

Not a running dog of the Degenerate Islamo-Commie from Kenya.

More conservative Supreme Court nominees than I will from a President Obama.

You mean like John Paul Stevens? You mean like Harry Blackmun? Or how about Earl Warren? Or David Souter?

Don't get me wrong, I don't want Romney either. But the above is a fact.

So is the fact that all of the above were appointed by Presidents with an (R) after their names.

Who? Who the is a Romney supporter who’s posing as a Cain supporter?

Name them.

He probably means me (and I'm sure, others). I took him behind the woodshed on Tuesday for the way he was berating FReepers.

No I live in massachusetts, romney will not be like obama, I’m glad you are all in a place fiscally where you can stay home on election day and accept four more years of obama, I cannot take another 4 years of obama therefore I will vote for whoever the nominee is and if you cannot get your guy or girl the nomination that is because they are unelectable if they can’t even beat the other nominees they can’t beat obama, so if you want somone other than romney as the nominee go get them nominated and stfu, and as far as the whole troll issue I would not be surpised if some portion of the whole ‘im too conservative to elect romney’ is anything more than obamas minions undermining any republicans chances
