Bill Maher may be anti-religion, but he's got faith in one thing: Herman Cain won't be the the 2012 Republican Presidential nominee.
Maher bet CNBC correspondent Michele Caruso-Cabrera $1 million that Cain won't earn the GOP nomination, and shook hands on the wager during Friday night's taping of his HBO political comedy show Real Time with Bill Maher.
Caruso-Cabrera was arguing that Cain's "incredible likeability factor" could carry him all the way when, Maher snarked back that he'd put a million dollars down against her one dollar that Cain won't win the nomination because Republicans can't deal with a non-white candidate.

Good, safe bet. The Establishment picks the nominees on both sides (how did you think we got McCain?) and they won’t allow a real conservative to be nominated. Why?
Because the majority of American voters are conservative, and they would win the election. The Establishment would lose. They’re not going to allow that.
I have been thinking of Newt as Cain’s VP for a while.
My only concern is that Newt still has “loose cannon” disease that comes out of nowhere for a while.
Such as he’s been on a roll and then I hear he just released a paper on a “middle way” on immigration. Haven’t seen the paper yet, but it made me cringe because it is just so Gingrich to take three steps forward, then want to prove he’s not a bombthrower and take four steps backward.
But as to the VP slot, my concern is that Newt would have to be very honorable and disciplined (seemingly one of his shortcomings) in respecting the fact that President Cain is his boss. Newt can get a bee in his bonnet at any time and, not maliciously, he could get out in front of the President or undermine him just by Newt being Newt.
Cain is a serious CEO type, but the VP cannot be fired, only marginalized.
BTW, Haley Barbour was out yesterday saying Cain could sweep the south. Struck me as maybe he was angling for a VP consideration, too.

A sales tax is based on sales.
Sales are voluntary (beyond necessities).
The reason Libs hate the sales tax is that it gives the people the power to defund the Fedzilla any time they want, simply by going Galt.

In fact maher is carrying on the long and proud tradition of the KKK which routinely attacked Republicans of all colors. Wonder where he keeps his robes?

Let's get a few things straight...There is no such thing as S.S. tax. Every penny collected goes to Treasury. Just like Income tax, Death tax, etc...The money your employer pays is simply a tax on employing someone. Are you currently receiving SS? If not, then the 7.5% employee tax that your employer is forced at gun point to pay is not in fact paying your SS benefits.
Now it is your turn to educate me...
Which pocket would he put this money in? How long would he keep it in his pocket? What would he do with it when he took it out of his pocket?

As for going Galt, the taxpayer could do that right now.

I agree that it will most likely go to lower the cost of goods sold, especially in the current economic conditions.

An “actual” endorsement? Maybe I should have stated more clearly the above.
