A sales tax is based on sales.
Sales are voluntary (beyond necessities).
The reason Libs hate the sales tax is that it gives the people the power to defund the Fedzilla any time they want, simply by going Galt.
Another tax piled onto the ones we already have gives people power? You are delusional.
As for going Galt, the taxpayer could do that right now.
But they won’t, because a far, far, greater percentage of people willing to go to that trouble are needed in order to have any effect whatsoever. That is why no taxpayer/producer strike ever has any effect. Let go of the Ayn Rand fantasies.
