Take it for what you will...posted on Mark's page just now: BREAKING: GOVERNOR SARAH PALIN TELLS MARK LEVIN SHE IS NOT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012.
Ditto.
I’m not here to gloat as I too have been seeing the very clear signs that Palin was not running for some time now. It was clear to anyone who was willing to see it. Many simply were not.
What does bother me though, and I mean this as a constructive criticism, is how many people fell in love with a persona and ate it up. Cult of personality. Just as we accuse (rightly so) the Obama cultists who were passing out at appearances and naming their kids after him. We on the right seem to have too many who are equally susceptible and willing to worship an individual rather than ideals or the bigger picture.
That’s come scary stuff. It’s damned hard to legitimately call the left out for their Obama worship........if we practice the same but simply for a different personality.
Replacing “their” King with “your” King is not a step in the right direction.
That is a good description. It is sad for Michelle Bachmann as she was trying to swoop down but was held back for the mere sliver of hope of one person.
I was going to respond, but then I realized it would make me the same as your 14 yo self.
Just ask your mommy for a Dr. Pepper to calm yourself down while you high five your other little friends in your man cave basement.
Go away. Forever.
There are plenty of pro Perry nasties on Perry threads.
All candidates have their bad supporters. If you take that as a key reason not to vote for somebody then you've got a problem.
It’s amazing how everyone rails against career politicians and then when a candidate who’s a complete outsider shows the ability to be a real candidate, the fact that he is not a career politician is held against him?
Why is “knowing how Washington works” a plus? Those who do - those career politicans - have led us to 14 TRILLION (with a T....a million million dollar...) debt!
Now that there is funny.
Disappointed she’s not running and disappointed in her. If Bristol was telling the truth about Palin having made the decision months ago, I’m even more disappointed in Palin.
Thanks for answering without blasting me. She has no lasting political or business experience. Cain does have extensive executive experience, as does Romney. Perry has a lot of governing experience, but Sarah??? Mayor of Wasilla and a short stint as governor of a state with a small population doesn’t make me confident. We already saw what happens when somebody is elected based on their charismatic oratory.
“Hold your nose, tighten your sphincter, and pull the lever for Mitt in 2012 if necessary...”
Sorry. I’m done playing that game. A vote for mittens or his ilk is just a vote for defeat albeit on a slower scale. And I don’t think Gov. Perry is much better.
I’m disappointed that Sarah isn’t running. But we have a good candidate in Herman Cain.
Wha?
When did Pissant get banned?!?
Holy smokes, I take a little longer than usual nap, and the whole place goes NUTZ!
Now, who is participating in wishful thinking? Listen to Sarah. Accept what she says. Don’t trust that she will do what she says?
Yes. but it’s the vicious posts aside from the silly names that really get my goat. The ones in which we call each other names for supporting one or the other of the candidates....and question one’s conservatism or patriotism for that support.
>>I love the freedoms that America holds out for all of us, but we do need to remain civil in our discussions.<<
You need look no further than this very thread to see vileness and hate on display. In fact, many of the palinestas are taking their hate to a new level of depth and depravity in their attacks of people who not only were right but DARED to express their opinions.
“Free speech” for these people is like the left version of free speech (which makes sense) — they can say whatever they want and just shout down anyone who says otherwise. And if others are CORRECT, well that just can’t be allowed!
“What’s the alternative?”
Stay home. Build a third party alternative to the gop. It’s about 20 years past due.
Trivia Question: Who was the very, very first to predict that she would not run? Who never wavered on that even during the History Bus tour, and when the Iowa video came out? Even when she wore the running outfit on the "I can Win?" Newsweek cover?
Hint: He was right about Trump too.
Class tells, and they have none just like their candidate.
Some people here were very emotionally involved in a Palin run. I never saw anything like it before. This let down tonight is going to really effect some here in a very dramatic and life altering way. I’ll never understand why.
Exactly. That's what happens when you donate to non candidates. Better to wait until they announce.
“Are there any Palin fans who are now switching to Perry?
;)”
Haven’t seen one yet. LOL.
