Businessman Herman Cain’s candidacy was largely dismissed when he announced that he would seek the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. But it’s becoming increasingly difficult to dismiss his candidacy following a string of Cain triumphs in the polls.

“Is Herman Cain a serious contender for the Republican presidential nomination? It’s a question no one in the pundit world was asking until the past week,” Michael Barone writes in the Washington Examiner.

We all trip and slip along our way in life but Herman Cain is the candidate that I think will take us to the White House and rid our country of that nothing that illegally occupies the office for now. To use a life analogy that I was taught at a very young age, every fish meal has bones in it - you just pick them out - and enjoy the meal. Cain may have a few bones as we all do, but he will make the perfect President of the country that I love and served.

Is Herman Cain a serious contender for the Republican presidential nomination?

Herman Cain played the race card yesterday. He will get my vote only if it becomes a choice between him and 0bama.

I think he's a plant, in place to split the Republican party. If he does not win the primary, then he will likely throw his support to 0bama saying Republicans will never support a candidate of African descent.

Hermann Cain wants lots of new taxes, including UN VAT, and supports the Federal Reserve system. He is not my candidate.

Romney and Huntsman are plants so if they don’t win, people will say the Republicans are against Mormons.
Bachmann is a plant so if she doesn’t win, it’s because Republicans are against women.
Perry is a plant so if Perry doesn’t win, it’s because Republicans are against hispanics.
And if Santorum doesn’t win, nobody will notice.

Cain needs to stay out of these drive-by, amateurish, high-school, pyssing contests the media enjoys playing up so much.

I heard Herman Cain say something deeply disturbing a few minutes ago on Hannity’s show. He used the word “irregardless,” which of course is not a word at all. He has lost the pedantic vote.

Herman Cain played the race card yesterday.

What an exaggeration. Commenting on an issue which relates to racial insensitivity is not the same as "playing the race card"...

This just in! the Republican Party was already split between the establishment, inside-the-beltway Repub crowd that engages in navel-gazing self pity every time the Washington Post says "boo", and the rest of Republican America, which gets up every morning, puts it's pants on one leg at a time and goes out to work for a living the same way that Herman Cain has for the past number of decades.

Romney and Perry are the beltway candidates. Cain reflects the rest of America.

Did you really need to kick Santorum? He could pull this out through attrition the way things are going. We had Cain making gains and now all of a sudden he is playing the race card and jumping into the gay soldier booing BS. Rick could end up being the only viable Conservative left.

Romney and Huntsman are not conservatives and Perry is disqualified by his support of illegals.

Paul and Johnson are libertarians.

Of Cain, Gingrich, Bachmann and Santorum: Santorum has shown little ability to generate support for himself. Gingrich is smart, but sometimes wavers from principle and is an inviting target for the MSM. Bachmann and Cain are both generally solid on conservative principles in the social, economic and national defense areas, but Cain has stronger leadership and executive abilities.

So of the field, I’m with Cain now.

I do think it is a mistake for the Republicans to move up the primaries to such early dates. We should have more time to weed out the field, not less. Palin may still play the wild card.

Obviously a sign of lack of intelligence (since he’s a conservative),

of course, pronouncing “corpsman” as “corpseman” is NOT a sign of lack of intellect.

Instituting a VAT without eliminating the payroll tax, or any tax for that matter, is a deal-breaker for me.

Herman Cain played the race card yesterday........and that’s the reason I won’t vote for him. After almost four years of racist $hit from Obama, I don’t want four more with this guy.

Usage

Irregardless means the same as regardless, but the negative prefix ir- merely duplicates the suffix -less, and is unnecessary. The word dates back to the 19th century, but is regarded as incorrect in standard English

If you’re talking about Cain, he eliminates the payroll tax and institutes a sales tax, not a VAT tax.

I saw a video this morning that Cain said IF IT IS TRUE that Perry hunted there for years without marking the N word out it was insensitive.Yet...the wkend news cycle had Cain bashing Perry and playing a race card. The media wants you to think he played the race card. From past actions I don’t think he did.I saw tea party early on videos of Cain saying we won’t let the liberals win in taking Christianity away.So until I see different Cain is still a good guy and the media are trying to divide and conquer and destroy him.

Cain just got out a meeting with The Donald. What does this mean?I have not a clue.
