Romney and Huntsman are not conservatives and Perry is disqualified by his support of illegals.

Paul and Johnson are libertarians.

Of Cain, Gingrich, Bachmann and Santorum: Santorum has shown little ability to generate support for himself. Gingrich is smart, but sometimes wavers from principle and is an inviting target for the MSM. Bachmann and Cain are both generally solid on conservative principles in the social, economic and national defense areas, but Cain has stronger leadership and executive abilities.

So of the field, I’m with Cain now.

I do think it is a mistake for the Republicans to move up the primaries to such early dates. We should have more time to weed out the field, not less. Palin may still play the wild card.

In this political poker game I’m of the opinion Palin is waiting to see what Cristy does. If Cristy jumps in all eastern establishment complaints about Palin jumping out of the job in Alaska gets tossed into the wind bags. A Palin-Cain ticket either way suits me very much.
