This just in! the Republican Party was already split between the establishment, inside-the-beltway Repub crowd that engages in navel-gazing self pity every time the Washington Post says "boo", and the rest of Republican America, which gets up every morning, puts it's pants on one leg at a time and goes out to work for a living the same way that Herman Cain has for the past number of decades.

Romney and Perry are the beltway candidates. Cain reflects the rest of America.

I don’t think Heeman Cain is a plant that will go Colin Powell on us. Perry is not an establishment candidate either.
