Last night I wrote my thoughts on just what might possibly be going on in the Palin camp (which we know is comprised of Sarah and Todd):
Have you watched her interviews over the past few months? The commentary she uses to defer the BIG question is either, still contemplating the huge life-changing decision or more famously do I need a title to make a difference?
It seems to me these statements are more like her I cant announce right here and now rebuttal and its absolutely brilliant. She keeps the world guessing, gives the media the runaround, and formulates a strategy to give her competitors the shock of their life.
The purpose of this verbiage is to create an atmosphere for complete and total surprise. Its her poker face, her expressionless face, a face without any interpretable expression as that of a good poker player, someone who doesnt show any emotion of reaction so that people dont know what they are planning.
Tonight Governor Palin spoke with Judge Napolitano on the Fox Business Channel. When asked about her plans for 2012 she replied, You know, I hold my political cards close to my chest, Ive certainly learned lessons along those lines and Im going to continue to do that until Im ready to make an announcement this is a serious decision and Im engaged in serious deliberations and within the next 24 hours dont look for me to make a decision.
All I have to say is, remind me never to play a hand of poker with the Governor.
>>Whats absurd is you still trying to parrot liberal talking points. No more, no less. Dont like being compared to liberals? Stop speaking like one and using their terms/talking points.<<
There ya go, Lou. Do any political analysis that results in Her Must Holiness not being the next Queen of the Earth and you are a liberal-spouting romney supporter.
Of course, there is no analysis of your analysis — just a blanket “so’s your old man.”
Name one thing she did that helped AK after she resigned. I thought she resigned so she could make a bigger difference than if she stayed.
>>Id love to see Sun Tzu alive and a poster on FR. All these PDS types would tell him he was an idiot and didnt know what he was talking about.<<
What would Sun Tzu think if he arrived to a point of battle and the other army had already arrived, taken the castle, killed all the people, then left their heads on pikes?
Sun Tzu believed in preparation, not just hanging back while his army creeps away thinking he has no idea what he is doing.
Is there no X rated movies you can tonight?
You are starting to gross people out.
Bye if you say so. But I'd wait another 15 days or so. She is poised to give an hour-long world-wide blockbuster speech on the economy on Tuesday morning October 11 in South Korea. In NYC it will be 8 p.m. Monday night October 10. Can you say prime time?? So what's 10 to 15 days mean after being teased all summer?
See the link for details. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2785431/posts?page=18#18
Now if she doesn't announce within the timeline shown in my tagline, I'll join you.
Believe it or not, people who win actually do strategize. I take it that you are unfamiliar with the concept, so my bet is you spend a lot of time losing.
18. All warfare is based on deception.
19. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable;
when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we
are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away;
when far away, we must make him believe we are near.
20. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder,
and crush him.
21. If he is secure at all points, be prepared for him.
If he is in superior strength, evade him.
22. If your opponent is of choleric temper, seek to
irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant.
23. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest.
If his forces are united, separate them.
24. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where
you are not expected.
25. These military devices, leading to victory,
must not be divulged beforehand.
Thanks!
John Boyd (military strategist)
Elements of warfare
Boyd divided warfare into three distinct elements:
Moral Warfare: the destruction of the enemy’s will to win, disruption of alliances (or potential allies) and induction of internal fragmentation. Ideally resulting in the “dissolution of the moral bonds that permit an organic whole [organization] to exist.”
Mental Warfare: the distortion of the enemy’s perception of reality through disinformation, ambiguous posturing, and/or severing of the communication/information infrastructure.
Physical Warfare: the destruction of the enemy’s physical resources such as weapons, people, and logistical assets.

You know, that's what folks were saying back around the previous time when the USA had been taken hostage by a communist/muslim/narco-terrorist coterie that threatened our nation's very existence.
How quickly people forget, and it was just ... oh, never before.
>>Believe it or not, people who win actually do strategize. I take it that you are unfamiliar with the concept, so my bet is you spend a lot of time losing.<<
Platitudes doth not a strategy make. Quoting 5 or 6 of hundreds/thousands means... exactly zero.
“Deception” when the battle is over is useless.
Sun Tzu emphasized the importance of involving his soldiers in the battle. Leaving them in ignorance was not one of them.
But he makes a great source when you have absolutely no idea what is going on. This is just the Gov. Palin supporter version of claiming she is playing “pan dimensional chess.”
If “waiting” is her “strategy” then everyone can see it from beyond the horizon line.
You’re a gold mine!
Indirect approach
In Strategy the longest way around is often the shortest way there. A direct approach to the object exhausts the attacker and hardens the resistance by compression, where as an indirect approach loosens the defender’s hold by upsetting his balance.
There were two fundamental principles which governed the “Indirect Approach”.
Direct attacks on firm defensive positions almost never work, and should never be attempted.
To defeat the enemy, one must first disrupt his equilibrium. This cannot be an effect of the main attack; it must take place before the main attack is commenced.

FYI 9/19/07 primary poll Guiliani 27.5% , Thompson 23.1 % , McCain 15.6 % Romney 9.5%. Palin is on course and will win going away.
>>...If her message is sound and her principles true, why must she game?<<
Two words... Fred Thompson. His message was sound and his principles were true. He played by the rules. Got in early. A true conservative and beyond that a statesman in his manner and speech of a type we have not seen since the early days of the republic.
The media, and the Republican establishment destroyed him.
You can’t have a conservative who articulates his views exceptionally well make it to the end of the process. He might win.
Enter Palin...
What the heck is in it for her, a real conservative, to put in one minute before the legal deadline? Nothing but withstanding endless attacks from the Dems, media and Mittwit Republican establishment.
Really, there is not one single advantage to her declaring any earlier than she absolutely has to... other than people simply SAYING she should.
Why should she? To make a few of you FEEL better about her? We are conservatives here. Do we FEEL or do we THINK? Do we think she has our moral convictions? Do we think she holds our worldview? Yes? Then what difference does it make how or when she decides to run?
I’ll vote for the most conservative candidate that is sitting in front of us on the ballot and if Palin in on it, great.
I would strongly suggest developing thicker skin. The country needs it right now from all of us.
There is no logical or necessary reason whatsoever for any voter or volunteer worker to commit to any candidate at this time. There may be a psychological satisfaction for a such person but what if the candidate truly believes declaring early hurts her chances?
Like many other SP supporters, I want her to take it to Zero everyday. But que sera, sera. Rick Perry will presumably still be there if she doesnt run.
In your first post, you say “I've been a Palin supporter from the onset.” - and then went on with the “but but” meme - showing the tinge of that easy to spot ‘pretender-suporter.’
and it only took one rebuff for you to out yourself in your next post in response to E. Pluribus Unum:
“Look, if you choose to be one of Palin’s silly sycophants, that's your business.”
Yeah, You've supported Sarah from the start - and the moon IS cheese, after all.
