As I understand it, and please correct me if I’m wrong, anyone (illegal) receiving in state (Texas) tuition, must have applied for U.S. citizenship first....

You are not wrong.

Agree. Perry is weak on immigration. I remember a quote from him, but can’t find it, when Oklahoma passed legislation deterring illegals, and Perry remarked, “tell them to come to Texas.” In fact, they did. Then he rewards their children with lower tuition at in-state colleges.

For Sara Palin fans. Sorry folks. Her heart seems to be in the right place, but her I.Q. leaves a lot to be desired. She would be like having another George W. Standing in line recently with other folks at a theater premiere, 28 people out of 28 agreed Palin is not presidential material.

So they are getting loans for the in-state tuition? Or paying the $100,000 themselves out of pocket

Johnson sounds like a whiny baby too, just his voice and mannerism. I couldn’t get past that to listen to him. Huntsman man be the worst sniveler of all. YUK. Maybe I need a nap or a drink. Amen to Herman Cain! The once I heard him. Eliminate EPA and start over.

Amen to everything you said, libbylu! ;-)

They don’t give free tuition to illegals. They allow illegals to pay in-state tuition.

Nope, I will vote for Mickey Mouse just to get Obama out of the White House.

I have my candidate but I will vote for whoever opposes Obama in 2012. That is reality.

Where exactly are you talking about. Every place the fence is working, it is because there is increased manpower and patrols (and those patrols report the decreased illegals).

No. That’s not right. Perry’s scholarships for illegal entrants is NOT the issue that will magically draw “Hispanic” voters to him. Nor will being AGAINST SUCH IMMORAL POLICY lose any “Hispanic” votes. A principled stance against such robbery from the legal citizens to the illegal a stance that could draw “Hispanic” votes.

Americans who come here from south of the border and who have done so legally and thus who are the only ones who legally can vote, these AMERICANS do not like at all that illegal entrants give free bennies. These honest folks want RESPECT, earned respect, not freebies.

So did Wilkes-Barre, PA., and it kept out the raging waters of the Susquehanna River (which was 24 feet over flood stage) for more than 24 hours, saving the city and its residents from a disastrous flood.

Get some Pennsylvania engineers down there in Texas!

“if we alienate the Hispanic vote, Republicans will never hold the White House again.”

So give them whatever they want? Let them hold the Republican party hostage? Just combine the two parties, then. There will be no difference.
