I’m a Texan too, and I agree with you 100%. Perry has been absolutely horrible on border/illegals issues. He talks tough on the issue whenever election-time rolls around (I’ve seen him live at rallies several times), but then does absolutely nothing. I truly don’t trust him a single inch on this issue.

Perry has been studying on foreign affairs. Good for him. He presents a good image, looks credible, looks presidential tonight.

....”States ought not to be in the business of subsidizing illegal aliens. Every one dollar you make available to an illegal immigrant is one dollar you are not giving to one of your citizens. To grant illegal immigrants in-state tuition rates directly discriminates against non-resident U.S. citizens from surrounding states. That is a direct violation of the equal protection clause.”.....

Exactly Habar!

Right. But we don’t have to build a fence, we have advanced technology. Look around, there are no more phone booths. Money spent on a better strategy.

Questions on Israel, Hamas, PA, Iran, ...

Milt Romney - Ignores the specific question.
Answers his dull, less relevant, memorized
paragraph about Obama’s inauguration.

Mr. Cain - Home Run. Always the clearest.
Always conservative. Always a patriot.

If Texans wanted the illegals to get in state tuition, Perry was correct. Will of the voters.

I live in TX and was never asked or given a vote on what I wanted. Perry and the legislature decided what was "best" for the rest of us in the state.

Ok, so perhaps he couldn’t veto the bill, but tonight he PASSIONATELY EMBRACED IT, so as Pres. will we see nationalization of free tuition for illegal aliens? Why stop there, maybe we should pay for the tuition of students whose parents are incarcerated...it is not their fault...where does this end? As others said, if a legal immigrant or an American citizen wishes to send their child to a TX university, they will pay OUT-OF-STATE TUITION which is typically 40-60% higher!

How did they build that highway just north of New Orleans across 22 miles of water??

It is NOT impossible.

I feel exactly the same way. I am a Texan and can’t for the life of me figure out how Perry became a real conservative as soon as he entered the race. ???

Instead of worrying how to keep them from coming across, we need to work on way’s to destabilize the gangsters that have run that country for centuries.

We need to do both.

Rush is not illegal. He understands that if we alienate the Hispanic vote, Republicans will never hold the White House again.

You had your chance to vote for the legislators. They are the ones that passed the bill.
