No. That’s not right. Perry’s scholarships for illegal entrants is NOT the issue that will magically draw “Hispanic” voters to him. Nor will being AGAINST SUCH IMMORAL POLICY lose any “Hispanic” votes. A principled stance against such robbery from the legal citizens to the illegal a stance that could draw “Hispanic” votes.
Americans who come here from south of the border and who have done so legally and thus who are the only ones who legally can vote, these AMERICANS do not like at all that illegal entrants give free bennies. These honest folks want RESPECT, earned respect, not freebies.

Pander to it and grant eventual amnesty and that will ensure long term Democrat majorities.
With all Perry's pandering in Texas, he gets 1/3 of the Hispanic vote, and if all the recent, illegal arrivals (about 1/3 of Hispanics) could vote, Perry and all Republicans would get less than their typical 30%.
Many Hispanic citizens of many years vote Republican. Recent arrivals and those awaiting amnesty are overwhelmingly Democrats in thinking.
And you misrepresent Rush's views. He has put defeating Obama above all else. That's why he mealy mouths about Perry's record on illegal immigration.
