I don’t think his hair color is relevant. He probably won’t get the nomination, but many will agree that is the smartest guy in the room.

Kay Bailey is a RINO. The California border is very different than the Texas/Mexico topography, but if the Feds want to pay to build it I’m all for it.

Someone should tell RuPaul that we’re all in the system. I guess he’s never heard of Socialist Security numbers.

Does he have dementia ? I’m curious.

This isn’t a debate, it’s an episode of American Idol.

Texans voted for that. It was so popular he couldn’t have vetoed it.

I think FOX should ditch its motto of “Fair and Balanced”, in the interests of truth and honesty.

Personally, I cannot vote for any of them except Bachman, Gingrich or Cain.

I can't even bring myself to vote for Bachmann or Gingrich. Cain is the only one up there who has the courage to do as he says he will do.

If I heard right, this “in-state” tuition goes for those illegals who are in the system for citizenship, no?

Yes, Palin will enter the race at the last minute and be the “fresh face” - somewhat risky strategy as she risks a frontrunner getting so far ahead that she can’t catch up. However it appears that Perry is going to be fading fast as frontrunner after these debate performances.

The pull of Texas voters towards Democrats to support freebies for illegal aliens is the excuse Rush gave for Perry’s policy, but I bet that factor is WAY overstated.

While some see Perry as weak, I see him as shaping the debate.

Yes fences work...if they aren’t the worn out junk that’s been put up in Texas that they call fences....where the fences are done the right way it cut illegal crossings in those areas 90%...

The Border Patrol site shows some of these dufuss fences...sad...but where they are solid they work

I’m a Texan and Perry has been spewing that same garbage about boots on the border and survellience etc for years. Always around election time. Perry is for open borders, don’t be fooled.

IMO we must close the borders first, only hope for our country economically.

The problem is Ron Paul is right about almost everything but foreign policy. The other problem is foreign policy is a responsibility of the federals,

Tell me exactly what that means, please. Do you have particular issues or ideas, say those in “Fed Up!” or “On my Honor” that you can oppose or is it just that your emotions drive your opinion?

Not that I trust Byron York, but here's something from this article...

Native-born Americans filled just 20 percent of the new jobs in Texas, the report says, even though "the native born accounted for 69 percent of the growth in Texas' working-age population." "Thus, even though natives made up most of the growth in potential workers, most of the job growth went to immigrants," the report concludes.

That statement doesn't even make sense, to me. It contradicts itself.

As Texans, and as small biz owners, we've noticed large companies moving to Texas and hiring some out of state (managers, etc.), but mostly TEXANS have been hired by these new (to Texas) companies.
