This can’t be true! Bambi announced only yesterday that the Taliban were just another Muslim political movement and we were letting them set up permanent “political” headquarters in some Arab country (Qatar, I think).

Could Bambi be wrong???

Obama’s new best buddies, they’re gonna be allowed an embassy and Obama’s going to open relations with them.

Afghanistan’s record as an Empire killer is stellar.

We've lost Afghanistan. (Not our fault. The place is a rock pile.) Let's kill as many of the mongrels as possible on our way out of the place. While we're at it, let's get out of Pakistan as well.

I don’t think it’s possible to turn backwards savages into civilized people with a functioning and healthy country. “Nation building” is a waste.

Nuke it from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

It is possible but it requires a couple generations to do it. They also have to want to do it.

As long as Islam is around, they’ll never do it. We had our big chance in Iraq to prevent them from enshrining Islam in their constitution, and we didn’t do it...and now it is rapidly turning back into a nest of squabbling Muslims killing each other and hating the Great Satan, and Mookie is offering to give us safe passage on the way out if we promise to go quietly.

Same in Afghanistan. If we had really enforced a secular government and given those forces a chance to get stronger, things would be different. But we bowed before Islam and let the islamists gain power again and this is the result.

It’s sad that they are killing each other. Not so sad that we should continue to sacrifice our young people to save them.

The key question is whether or leaving would make America less safe. I don’t see Afghanistan or Iraq having an impact on that anymore.

Considering Egypt and the rest of North Africa is going under the thumb of the radicals.

Tet offensive. Theatre. They lose big, but they make our front pages.

Bet Barry is in his “war room” with his Muzzie Brotherhood pals figuring out how the US can hand over Afghanistan to the Taliban. The Taliban is obviously just another revolutionary movement.../sarc (More like a bowel movement!)

I don’t think it’s possible to turn backwards savages into civilized people with a functioning and healthy country.

Somewhere in the book, "The 5,000 Year Leap," I recall reading how our founders truly debated if the people of the colonies were actually "moral enough," to even have freedom. I found that thought or idea extremely interesting in the context of what we now call Nation Building.

The entire Middle East has been turned upside down by this idea of bringing democracy to them. For all the claimed horrors of all these newly deposed dictators; the people themselves are finding the culture is not yet 'moral enough' to have freedom and democracy.

Which in the scheme of their precious islamic religion they are only finding death, destruction, mass murder and horror. Until they come to terms with the reality that islam as being imposed in the Middle East is immoral, they shall not be able to have democracy nor freedom.

Instead they will have this gross distortion of the progressive left's idea of an Arab Spring. Democracy and freedom is not rising in the Middle East, nor can America with its military might and good intentions create it for a people not moral enough to have it.

Russia announced yesterday that there will be no sanctions against Syria. Yesterday 4 American troops landed in Libya after we were promised that no American boots will be in Libya. Yesterday, Turkey retrofitted its F16 aircraft to identify Israeli planes as foes. Yesterday, Israeli evacuated it’s embassy in Egypt. Yesterday, Russia acknowledged that if the Palis ask for a nation, they will approve. Yesterday, china recognized the Libyan rebels as the legitimate government.

Yesterday, Obama went around the country, telling people that theAmerican taxpayer will be fleeced even more so that the unions can contribute to Obamas 2012 presidential aspirations.

If that all happened yesterday, imagine what can happen today.
