Thug.
(TPM) Teamsters union president James Hoffa would say it all again if he could, he told TPM Monday.
Hoffa riled up Fox News and the right wing Monday with a Labor Day speech in Detroit in which he called Republican members of Congress sons of bitches and said union workers are ready to go to war with the tea party next year and take out Republicans at the ballot box.
Hoffa said hed say the exact same words all over again.
I would because I believe it, he said. Theyve declared war on us. We didnt declare war on them, they declared war on us. Were fighting back. The question is, who started the war?

I’m sure Obama immediately gave Hoffa a lecture on civility, right? [/s]
Well, if it is war he wants...
BTW, good to see our sitting President chumming up with this guy during his big economic recovery ‘coming out’ week. I am sure that indicates just what he has in store. More of the same.
hoffa is a pig. What do you get from a pig? A very foul odor and a lot of grunting.
as posted in other thread on this topic- teamsters website:
i just left a nice message, identifying myself as a proud Tea Party member and welcoming them to take me out...
Dear mr. Hoffa, FYI, I am a member of Local .308. If you want a fight, put your affairs in order.
Just like I’ve got no regrets over his old man turning into a bridge piling...
God bless the TEA PARTY PATRIOTS!
I’m a 32yr member of the Teamsters Union now retired. I want folks to know that there are a hell of a lot of us who despise the union. Many of us are hunters, pro-life and 110% American and we work hard and take pride in our work. In my career, serving my customers to the very best of my ability was my everyday goal. That isn’t a union trait, that is a work ethic trait that I shared with many of my co-workers. Hoffa can go to hell. If I remember right, every teamster president in my career ended up doing jail time. Not much to be proud of.
Not counting on folks like yourself are they.
I know here where I live there are a lot of conservative UAW members. I was just as conservative as an AFL-CIO member as I am today.
This assclown should be front and center in a campaign Ad, right after Obambi says “ a new tone...”
Chip off the old block. Granite chip.
bump
hey Jimmy, I thought it was patriotic to dissent. We’re just supposed to ‘yes’ you like your sycophant, toadying followers who cannot think for themselves do? i don’t think so.
At the top levels, unions are infested with parasites who have seldom (if ever) walked on the floor of a shop, picked up a wrench, operated a lathe or have even opened a lunchbox in a company cafeteria.
But they’ll show up at the union meetings in working clothes with ballcaps, making like they’re just good old boys. This guy Hoffa is a case in point. Isn’t the whole idea of a union supposed to be working men and women banding together? How does that figure when you have a scion of a obviously corrupt official inheriting his position in the union?
It’s frigging bizarre that they never seem to get called on that.
“Exactly what they falsely accuse us of.”
Up is down and down is up...I’m so damned confused. /s
Imagine if a Tea Party member said this! Or, God forbid, Sarah Palin!!!
"...he called Republican members of Congress "sons of bitches" and said union workers are ready to "go to war" with the tea party next year and "take out" Republicans at the ballot box.
Hoffa said he'd say the exact same words all over again."

That is NOT what Hoffa said
I made the following partial transcript when Megan Kelly broadcasted Hoffa's remarks again and held the following interview. I didn't transcribe all of Megan's remarks, only most of Blakeman's and Harpootlian's.
~~~~~~~~~`
Sept 5, 2011 (immediately preceding Obama's Labor Day remarks)
Megan Kelly rebroadcasted the following portion of Hoffa's remarks:
Hoffa: "We gotta to keep an eye on the battle that we face---a war on workers. You see it everywhere and it is the Tea Party. And you know there's only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight, and you know what, they got a war, they got a war with us, and there is only gonna be one winner, and it's going to be the workers of Michigan and America. We are gonna win that war.....
Pres Obama, This is your army. We are ready to march. Let's take these SOB's [Hoffa uses the full phrase] out and give America back to America where we belong. Thank you very much."
BRAD BLAKEMAN (fmr dep asst to GW Bush): "I think it's thuggery at its best. It's what unions are good at. It's what we've seen in Wisconsin and other places---intimidation. But, this is the warm-up act? This is the touchy-feely act before the Pres arrives. These are the kind of remarks you'd expect out of Tony Soprano, not a union president. Well..I take that back. A Hoffa presidency is the type of person you hear this type of rhetoric from. The President should repudiate it."
Then Dick Harpootlian), SC democratic party chair, defends Hoffa and basically says the TP does the same stuff.
DICK HARPOOTLIAN: "Is that any worse than what the TP's saying....these guys are snarling and frothing at the mouth...."
BRAD: "When a union pres says, "Let's take these SOB's out, it usually means somebody's legs are going to get broken; somebody's going to disappear. TP people don't use that kind to rhetoric and you know they don't. If you can't stand up, Dick, and say what this guy said is wrong, then you are incredible. Don't deflect and try to bring the TP into it. The TP didn't say this---A union president it. He said it before the Pres of the US was going to remark. And by the way, it's not Union Day, it's Labor Day. It celebrates all American workers, not just unions."
Then Megan Kelly remarked about all the libs' comments (Waters, Andre Carson, etc). "Everybody is getting a pass on a piecemeal basis, but, collectively, do you think it's about more, in your view, Dick?"
Then Dick mentions Rick Perry's remarks calling Bernanke "treasonous."
Brad pointed out that a lot of Repubs stood up and said he was wrong to say that. "...People who have this type of hate speech...."
Megan: "Why doesn't he (Pres) reign in members of his own party...?" Megan then repeats what Hoffa said, and DICK says, "I'm sorry, I just don't see anything wrong with that. I know it's touchy-feely time up at Fox News today, but I just don't...I don't see what is wrong with that at a rally."
BRAD: "It's called being civil; it's called being respectful... and you don't have the guts to stand up against the President and those who support him when they do wrong."
They better not try that taking out crap down south. CCW friendly, they will get hurt.
Hoffa: No Regrets Over Speech Calling For Violence Against NON-UNION American workers.
The only non-union, non recipients of government entitlement Americans who would deny their support of the Tea Party are the Americans who have no idea what the Tea Party supports.
The only Americans that would detest the Tea Party are government and some union workers, welfare collectors who have other options.
