Doggonit, Sarah Palin May Very Well be Jumping In
National Review ^ | 8-19-11 | Kathryn Jean Lopez

Posted on 08/19/2011 8:17:34 PM PDT by STARWISE

Is there any other conclusion after watching the Iowa video?

It is warm and inviting and part of the reintroduction that began with the Steve Bannon movie.

I have long thought that Governor Palin has been honestly trying to figure out the best use of the energy and attention — and anger! — that swirls around the name Sarah Palin.

And with this video, I think she just shared which way she is leaning.

Interesting snippet of a comment on another Nat’l Review article:

“I didn’t think she’d run. This video makes me think otherwise. IF she’s going to, I’d say it is because she sees Bachmann self-destructing in desperate stuff like $2 gas and that stupid spat with Pawlenty which she’d have been smarter to ignore and rise above.”

That could’ve been the trigger ...

Gateway Pundit’s psyched .. (don’t read the comments)

I was just reading the original post of this thread at NRO, and was surprised at the negativity of some of the comments. Some were straight-up PDS.

That's alright. When Sarah declares, the resultant explosion of enthusiasm across the country is going to completely drown out that nonsense.

I think they will both try to take her out at once. They know that she has broad TEA support and will not want to face her with momentum. And that’s a good strategy overall. The problem is that I think that her support goes well beyond the TEA Party and a lot of people are just too scared to publicly state ANY support because doing so immediately loses friends, family and employment in liberal owned/ran workplaces.

IF they DO both attack, Identity politics takes over on it’s own. But because of the YEARS of the media doing that very thing, people will perceive it as ganging up on the girl because that’s how we have been now-hardwired to think by the attack dog crap they pulled. People HATE the media more than Palin and Mitt and Rick will suffer the association.

I am NOT saying Palin will or would intentionally pull that card. I do NOT believe she would.

I am saying it will be “Perceived” by the public, and if Perry and Romney do NOT both attack her, that will be the reason. They do not want to be seen as ganging up on the girl.

Now... if they DO do it, she gets the boost. If they do not, she can deal with them individually and that’s even WORSE for them. Both of them have decidedly unconservative and other questionable points she can easily slam them on and they have no recourse but to fall back to Democrat tactics to counter her. They can’t do it based on her policies and positions.

Romney goes down first as he is weak on the best day and has never once been pressed on Romneycare of his flipflop record. Ever.

Perry is tougher because he HAS a few good things behind him. Very good things. But open border/guardisil and AL GORE will end him.

Believe it!!!...or not ;)

Just went through a page of comments on the Gateway Pundit link you posted, and nearly all of them are supportive of Sarah.

One of the wack job PDSer’s posts must have been showing at the top when you saw it.

FWIW, I don’t think there was any trigger. She’s planned her announcement date all along.

RECALLING THAT THE TEA PARTY EXPRESS/cnn debate is on september 12, 2011 in TAMPA, FLORIDA!

You make good sense to me. They’re both trying to copy her policies, particularly Perry, and she has made certain to state twice now, once to Megyn Kelly and again to Lou Dobbs, that she wrote about Quantative Easing 10 months before Perry talked about it...lol.

As for Bachmann, *Happy Birthday, Elvis*!

Good night, y’all.

That sweet lady in the backgroud helps make it special.

So cute and with her little flag. Sure does capture what America is all about - everyday folk just loving their country and coming out to support one of their own. Nothing political, just patriotism on display - which keeps it clean.

September 3rd is also the Oliver Cromwell date...of his great military victories at Dunbar in 1650 and Worcester in 1651 and his death in 1658.

Sarah will need Cromwell's wherewithal.

Is there some significance to the date of September 3rd?

As a side note, which may be no accident: On September 3, 1763, the American Revolution officially came to an end when representatives of the United States, Great Britain, Spain and France signed the Treaty of Paris. The signing signified America's status as a free nation, as Britain formally recognized the independence of its 13 former American colonies, and the boundaries of the new republic were agreed upon: Florida north to the Great Lakes and the Atlantic coast west to the Mississippi River.

Young Mr. Conroy seems to know a lot. He's clearly gained some confidence from the Palin camp. Shows what honest reporting can accomplish. I think I'll monitor those Alaska radio jocks Sept. 2...LOL

I believe she will announce on the 3rd, and arrange for Bob and Mark to have a special show later in the day, if necessary, so she can call in right before she takes to the podium.

The heck with that. Cromwell was a ruthless fanatic.

Invoke Churchill or Reagan if you will, but not Cromwell.

I'm sure you meant 1783. It would have been quite the trick to do this at the Paris Treaty of 1763.
