Did you ever notice the elft NEVER speaks about their candidate and electability. I give them credit for this, why? They simply disregard you and I and run for the win. They pick their person based upon what that marxist pig will do for them vis-a-vis grow government to ever more intolerable levels. So, they are winners from the start. Only the right hand-wrings over and over because the MEDIA TELLS THEM TO and over and over we hear people ont he right worry about this.

Not me, from now on, I want the most conservative person...why? Simple the most articulate conservative will destroy the left in debate, the most conservative person’s ideas WILL resonate with the whole country buried under government policy, rules, regs and taxes. They’re done with it and the left and the media telling them that everyone hates the right.

Its different now.

Pawlenty spent nearly a million on this poll. Santorum practically moved his family there. Bachmann and Paul bought 6000 tickets.

Cain spent less than $100,000, has been ignored or “ruled out” by media pundits, and has less name recognition than almost all of them.

Given all of that, I’d say he did pretty well :-)

I still believe it will come down to Cain and Bachmann, and Palin if she runs.

>Sorry, but none of the top three in this poll has any chance of being the next President of the United States.<

You don’t think Bachmann stands a chance?
Can you elaborate or articulate why?

I’ll report back on Monday as one of my co-workers goes out of his way to listen to Seattle lib-talk. I tell him what they will rant on and lo’ an behold, there you go.

Has anyone ever met anyone from Iowa?
In business?
Driving through your state?
On vacation?
Nobody goes there on vacation.

Quick, look at a map, where is Iowa.
What is the nick name for their college football team?
Where is the pro football, baseball and hockey team located in Iowa?

And we are supposed to respect what Iowa people say today for the election 15 months from now?

I’ll go for President Palin, VP Rick Perry, Secretary of Treasury Ron Paul, Homeland Security Cain, Haley Barbour as Atty General, Pawlenty as Interior Secretary, Bachmann as Secretary of State. How about that cabinet.

Romney won the Ames poll in 2007, with 4500 votes...McCain got a hundred.

Go check out HuffPo too. That will give you the barometer of where the week will go, as will the Sunday shows tomorrow.

>What in heaven’s name is wrong with those 4671 Iowans?!<

They probably have a few problems.
1. they think that economics mean everything. He would be good for the economy probably.
2. They don’t understand the danger of his foreign policy.
3. Like any other cult Paulbots are highly motivated. They get out there and do whatever they have to do to get the numbers of the few to look like it is a vast many. So they got the votes - but in a real election Paul would show his true colors in debates. He would make Obama look almost .. desirable or even sane.

That’s why I get a chuckle at how everyone is making such a big deal about this poll. Iowa is not a good predictor of who the nominee will be.

Our machinist worked for Rockwell in Cedar Rapids before moving to Nashville. I almost took a job with Rockwell while living in Phoenix.

Iowa is not hugely populated but they are independent. It’s a state of God, Family, and Country.

No, but Romney’s money and standing still make him a first tier candidate.

Perhaps, but with all that money and political operatives in place, his 7th position results make him "Mike Dukakis"!

WOOHOO!

Down goes the socialist turd!

It`s more complicated than that..good cop bad cop!

They fell all over themselves after the first debate saying how great she was, they carried her for a time before they started attacking, they even propped her up in their phony polls.

But she has fallen in the most recent Polls, with Gov Palin again pulling ahead of her at RCP. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN POLLING BTW...just pointing out.

But the MSM will give her a boost once again, the last boost never helped though, she only raised 2 million bucks(that really is pathetic) how much of it was from dems like Andrea Mitchel and Chris Matthews?

Today David Gregory NBC was VERY IMPRESSED by Bachmann today, his words. He is pushing her tomorrow on his pathetic show.

To the MSM, saying nice things about Bachmann only means one thing to them. to somehow keep out the one they fear the most...Gov Palin.

Yes they attacked MB , but not before they praised her for a time. Now they have to push her again, they have to say she got a big boost from the straw poll, they are going to really run with..Palin is the big loser from MB winning straw poll.

It will not work because Gov Palin will be in the race soon. But for the short term, M,SM goes back to propping up Bachmann in their phony polls. This is how I see it.

The entire reasoning to show a whack lib, is to show the orchestrated meme that they follow day in and day out.

Teaching a monkey is no different.

At this point it would have been nice to have Plin endose Bachmann. But she disappointed me by going for Perry. Definitely not a conservative decision. He sounded today like he was speaking to second graders.
