Michele Bachmann
Bachmann is serving her 3rd full term in the U.S. House. Founder of the House Tea Party Caucus, she earned a Master of Laws degree, worked as a tax attorney, and was a foster mother for 23 teenagers. She is a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Herman Cain
Cain is the former chief executive of Godfather's Pizza and former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He lost the Georgia Republican primary for a U.S. Senate seat in 2004. He was recently the host of Atlanta-based radio show.
Newt Gingrich
Gingrich served as the 58th Speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999. He represented Georgia's 6th congressional district as a Republican member from 1979 to 1999. He has a PhD in modern European history.
Ron Paul
Paul is serving his 11th full term in the U.S. House. He’s an obstetrician-gynecologist and was the Libertarian nominee for president in 1988. He unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for president in 2008
Tim Pawlenty
Pawlenty served two terms as governor of Minnesota, from 2002 to 2010. He served in the Minnesota House from 1992 until 2002. He is the son of a truck driver.
Mitt Romney
Romney was the 70th Governor of Massachusetts (2003 to 2007) and former CEO of Bain Capital, a private equity investment firm. He unsuccessfully sought the Republican 2008 nomination for president. He has an MBA (Harvard) and JD (Harvard Law).
Rick Santorum
Santorum served two terms in the U.S. House and two terms in the U.S. Senate. He became the Senate's third-ranking Republican in 2001. He was defeated for reelection in 2006.
Jon Huntsman
Huntsman was Utah Governor, former ambassador to China under Barack Obama.

Perry will be in the next debate.
As far as I know, Sarah Palin is not running and it will look too conspicious for her to jump in now. The media will be focusing on her shying away from the debates which have been happened already.
They did the same to Al Gore when he tried to limit the debates to minimize the chances of making gaffes. Americans know that’s why it’s done. Palin knows that and that’s why I doubt she’s running. She knows it would look strange to suddenly jump in. Besides, she’s not taking advantage of brushing up on her debating skills which is another reason to be in the debates as early as possible.
And Sarah Palin is one that needs to brush up on her debating skills. The last thing we want to see is Sarah Palin’s second debate to be with President Obama. That would be a disaster, not just for her but any of these candidates (with the exception of maybe Newt who is a pro debater)

Cain has as much chance as most on this stage. Romney would be the most likely, but Cain is probably top 4. I think he faded quite a bit after that NH debate, so he’d have to turn around big with a nice Ames result or general polling jump.

True. Speaking of Britt Hume, I’d love to see either him or Bernie Goldberg, or both, do it - they each have great journalistic bonafides and are good, intelligent conservatives.
I can’t stand Chris Wallace. I quit watchinh FoxNews Sunday when he took over.

Get over it. Palin is no longer a governor. I’ve heard Obama referred to as “Mr. Obama” countless times. Same when George W Bush was president. Big deal.

I think Newt got himself back in the game, but I don’t know if it will be enough.
So if Newt won the nomination you would vote for? Who? Obama? Not vote what?
