NEW YORK (Reuters) - The United States lost its top-notch AAA credit rating from Standard & Poor's on Friday, in a dramatic reversal of fortune for the world's largest economy.
S&P cut the long-term U.S. credit rating by one notch to AA-plus on concerns about growing budget deficits.
U.S. Treasuries, once undisputedly seen as the safest investment in the world, are now rated lower than bonds issued by countries such as the UK, Germany, France or Canada

During the debt ceiling fight, didn’t the dems argue that the debt ceiling increase was needed for money already spent? Yes. So for them to say that all of a sudden it’s the “Tea Party’s” fault is phony. Over just three years, Obama and his fellow thieves have spent five trillion dollars more than they had coming in as revenue. There are consequences to such irresponsibility, and this is one of them.

Bunch of morons. The Tea Party does not control the US House, the US Senate or the US Executive. Yet the leftist maroons blame all their problems on the Tea Party. The Tea Party did not want the debt ceiling raised. If it had controlled DC, the debt ceiling would not have been raised, massive Federal cuts would have occurred and the US would still have a AAA rating.

I think you are right. And when he loses his second term, he'll say America reverted back to her racist ways. When all the true history books are written, there will be counter arguments that "those" writers were all just racists. He's wealthy beyond all his hopes or dreams ever thought he would be. He has a Nobel Peace prize plaque to stick in his "Presidential" library. His two autobiographies and the ones he is yet to write - all extolling his brilliance and vision, of course. And, if they are lucky, he will steal all the loot he can from the White House (hillary taught him that) to furnish his own luxurious mansions in the islands somewhere like Hawaii or the Caymans - where all his stash is.
But, the bright spot is we will be rid of his sorry butt and can begin the healing of our land and return America to the place she began as a land of the free and the home of the brave.
