Sean Hannity mentioned this prime-time address was announced a few minutes ago.
The AP confirms with a one sentence story at the source link.
Look at the way GK Butterfield of NC phrases the question on his website.
“Should Congress continue funding Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, and avoid a government default that would raise interest rates and inflation by voting to raise the debt ceiling?”
Well, he is third in line.
No,
I believe Boner is second in line
Even the most "radical" Social Security overhalls proposed by Republicans would not affect current recipients in the slightest (and, most likely, nobody over about 55). Ironically, the only suggestion that could affect current recipients was proposed by Obama and has to do with adjustments in the Consumer Price Index which would reduce annual Cost of Living Adjustments that SS recipents receive. He proposed the changes starting in 2015 as part of his original "grand bargain" deficit numbers, knowing when the time comes, the congress would never have the courage to do it, so the savings would never materialize. But he could take credit now for deficit reduction that would never occur.
Can I ask politely what planet you're on?
Things CAN change you know ...
I second that. Can’t hit the mute button fast enough for that guy...
Boehner ran circles around zero....and the WH tried to keep Boehner from having his rebuttal speech...dear old pretend president did just get kicked hard...very hard.
But it's our guys hanging the curtains! :)
The National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ or the Center), formerly known as the Welfare Law Center (WLC) and the Poverty Law Center (PLC), is a national non-profit organization dedicated to “advanc[ing] the cause of economic justice for low-income families, individuals, and communities across the country.” Specifically, the Center advocates for the following causes: income security, access to employment, fair treatment, public accountability, access to justice, fair and safe workplaces, community action, and civic participation.
Social justice, economic justice, environmental justice all code words for Marxism
I’ll do it if you cover the bail
Boehner was great tonight (even if I’m still skeptical about his plan). I see that house.gov says ‘server to busy’. I love it! :D
Here ya go:

It was fantastic! We all need to call his office and let him know we have his back!
Call your congresscritters tomorrow and tell them you support them standing up to Obama’s big government!!
Greta is on now for 2 hours. THIS ought to be really, really good
The bail money is what I was gonna use to buy the Scotch!
The only changes contemplated for SS affect those who are younger than 55 years of age. If your mother is 55 years or older, there will be no changes to SS.
We need to slowly increase the retirement age for SS - by raising the eligibility age by one MONTH every year over the next 24 years. This minor change will save trillions of dollars and protect SS for another generation.
Boehner will speak up more on SS if BO raises the threat to seniors again. We have plenty of money coming in each month to cover debt service, military expenditures, SS, Medicare, and more.
I refuse to watch him.
Purple lips are generally a sign of a serious medical condition. Could it be that this is one of the reasons why he has refused to divulge his medical records?
Just saw “Server is too busy” message also. Guess I’ll have to wait to send an email, others have the same idea. :-)
Things CAN change you know ...
Change to what? The Republicans and Democrats are in agreement that they're going to spend our posterity trillions more into debt. All they're quibbling over is who gets what to make themselves look good for the next election.
it was easy to understand Boner, he was tight and right and your mind did not wander off as opposed to OBambi.....
I said to myself watchin....Obama is only talkin to the TV show hosts
oh yeah, almost forgot FU Chris Matthews
I don’t watch him either. He reminds me of Jabba the Hut’s annoying little runt creature.
