anyone who uses tactics like this....oy!
the wheels of justice apparently do grind slowly. But when they get around to him, he's gonna look like a bug on a windshield.

My check is auto deposited to my account. My rent is an auto withdrawal and there is about $75 left over each month....which pays for my medicare supplement.
I'm 67 and still have to work to live.

I’m also on Social Security and I hope that Boehner and the House Republicans call his bluff!

Since, up until the “Threat” there were numerous articles ranging from, this fight and Social Security aren’t related to there is more than enough money to service the debt and Social Security.
We are now faced with the only remaining question, “Is this lying commie a President or a Dictator?” If it proves that he is the latter, your check is the least of your worries.

Expect nothing more from this Idi Amin wannabe-he truly is pond scum if even at that level in the order of things.

I’m not convinced people “scare” so easily now days. Obama would be in a fine fix if he did such a thing, and even raising the idiotic idea may place him in a fix.

Is this lying commie a President or a Dictator? He's a closet dictator (like all commies). The degree and method of force he uses depends what the circumstances deem necessary. We're really not to the point of brownshirts, yet. (And if/when that comes, they'll look just like your neighbors...because they will be your neighbors.)
Peer pressure will take a dictator a long way.

What Obama has said simply isn't going to happen. Not in this election season. It's a scare tactic pure and simple. And note that he said "I can't promise...". People will remember who said this regardless of who he tries to blame for the debt ceiling mess. This is a clear desperation tactic by Obama who holds no cards worth playing. Neither do the dems as a whole. The public, by 69%, want the debt limit maintained. We're sick and tired of the spending with no concern for the future. That hand has been played out. Our biggest problem now is how strong congressional Republicans are. Judging by McConnell's two-faced remarks yesterday, not strong at all. But I think the House Republicans will have something to say about that. Hang in there. I'm on SS as well (I'll be 69 in September). My wife works and brings in a decent income, but times are still very hard lately what with the increase in costs almost across the board. I know we couldn't survive living as we do should that check not arrive. But I'm not worried. I just isn't going to happen. The money's there to pay it out. And anyone making the decision not to pay is cutting their own throat.

When expenditure cuts become necessary because the money’s run out, who decides where to cut? Is it the president?

I have relatives of retirement age who share your sentiment. One of them said, “If it takes sacrifing my Social Security to save the country, then I’ll find a way to make do.”

Trust me, they do. I have never heard so much BS the last few days from “educated” people that their Social Security Checks will stop coming and Medicare will cease to exist.
They just don’t stop, do they?

Marco Rubio has the right tactic.
“You’ve been paying into Social Security all those years. Why, it was supposed to be in a trust fund. In a lock box. So why is Obama paying for it with borrowed money?”
To: Any Fate But Submission
I’m on social security and I am worried that the GOP is going to take my SS check and give it to the Big Koch Brothers and George Soros.
To: Any Fate But Submission
I can get by until February, 2013.
To: Ben Ficklin
That’s funny even without the sarc tag.
