Polls show there's an anti-Mormon bias among voters - especially Democrats, more than a quarter of whom say they wouldn't vote for a Mormon. But this video of a Memphis Fox affiliate ridiculing Mitt Romney about his religion is a real wake-up call [video]. The whole news segment appears to be about Mormonism and the 2012 election, but skip ahead to the 3:20 mark for the worst of it [video].

Oh; they don't THINK this; they KNOW this!

We ALL do this.
All we CAN do is read what is written here on FR and make judgements based on that.
If there is more in a person's heart; he needs to reveal it.
Give a fool a microphone and camera and this is what you get. I’d like to see this fool mock islam in this fashion.
All the TIME!
'Religions' usually have published positions on all kinds of things.
Most members of those religions, if they do NOT go along with what headquarters has published, at least give lip service to the stated postitions.
When someone comes along and says they do NOT go along with what their chosen religion has taken a stand on; well, that just makes a fellow wonder...
HUH??
And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.
Try again...
He HAD to be!!
WWII would have NEVER been won this way!
Uh... Ok.
Romans 10:1-4
Brothers and sisters, my hearts desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.
Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to Gods righteousness.
Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
The above fits MORMONism to a tee!
Then why are you wasting your time?
Good Question!!

I KNOW that a lot of ANTI-mormonISM is based on KNOWLEDGE of that Religious Organization.

I don’t know where your italicized line came from or what it purports to mean. Speaking only for myself, I don’t vote for or against “fellow Christians” but for candidates who best exemplify my conservative political ideology. As I said before, LDS may be a cult but today it’s a harmless one irrespective of how absurd we think some of its religious postulates are. The history of religion also shows that a multitude of religious founders and their followers all commonly have claimed to be the “one true” faith. However, after the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) when Christians slaughtered and butchered each other throughout Europe, the West has generally moved towards the separation of religion and partisan politics. There are, to be sure, some vestiges remaining and, given human nature, there always will be some of this. To this day, many Christian bodies claim to be the one true faith in an apostate world, including the Roman Catholic Church. But this doesn’t matter so long as such views are not imposed on others. Also, we can selectively quote official statements from any religious body that will make it appear in a bad light.
