Im sure the list is even longer in reality but these 43 people have some explaining to do if/when Governor Palin runs for the presidency. I have a feeling that these 43 people will just move on to a back-up explanation if/when they are proven wrong.
Whats worse is that many of these 43 people are objective political analysts, rather than just bloggers like you and me. I get the sense that many of the objective political analysts on this list will face no punishment if/when their assessment on Governor Palin is proven wrong and they will continue to opine on Palin if/when she is in the race.
==================================
43 Beltway Insiders/Pundits: "Palin Won't Run" Career Ending, Egg On Face Statements?
These 43 assorted Beltway insiders, pundits, columnists, talk show hosts, political television show hosts, religious leaders,"progressive" and other bloggers all agree on one subject (or variations thereof) "Sarah Palin won't run for president in 2012."
Some said she shouldn't run "for the good of the GOP" or their preferred alternative candidate. Some allowed for her running "but she has no chance of getting the nomination". And for the tiny minority of these prognosticators who think she actually has a chance of getting the nomination "Reagan Palin has absolutely no chance of defeating President Carter Obama"
In their "objectivity" they have variously described her as running a clown show, a reality TV show, an ego parade, a personal rehabilitation exercise, a narcissistic agenda, a revenge against the media program and other, varied, descriptions of Palin and her motives. These opinions pontificated from their elitist seats at the table of the oracle's temple.
I haven't included the mad "Trig truther" bloggers of course-not crediting them as seers (much less as human beings). The following pundits, linked to their statements so they can't run and hide/deny them, may, shortly, all have egg on their collective faces, damaged, hopefully irreversibly so, reputations, and will have been given a lesson by the master of the new Realpolitik. N.B. If I have left anyone of significance off the list the name/blog and link would be appreciated in the comments section.

Thanks for posting this.
RUN SARAH RUN!
“Maladroit Marxist” = clever phrase!
Lol. It’s not misdirection. It’s simply an observation.
She’s been laying the groundwork as well. And Reagan didn’t have 3 million Facebook fans ready to go the moment she announces.
There are advantages to her waiting. She does need to time things right, but the time is not... quite... yet.
And I don’t say that she’s finalized the decision. But... I do believe she’s going to run.
“Add Dana Perino.”
You’ve got that right....Her eyes get very large and it’s obviouis she wants to change the subject when Governor Palin is the topic.....And Ann Coulter can’t stand another woman who outshines her (why Coulter is on a pedestal as a great conservative is beyond me).....Those two afore mentioned women are “Classic” examples of RINO girls.....It’s so old hearing Coulter still pimping for Christie (another serious RINO)...And I don’t buy the fact that neither one of these women truly do not see the leadership qualities in Governor Palin...What a day it will be when she announces.....
Good post.
The title of the article belies the content. If it were so egregious to predict that Palin won’t run, why the “if” in the title. If her supporters can’t even be sure that she will run, why would a pundit suffer egg on the face for having made a prediction one way or the other?
Sounds like you beat him to the "shmuck" part!
No, it's not senseless. It exposes the 'anti-Palin' landscape for what it is. Tell me what 'other' person is everyone pontificating about, much less obssesed, in saying 'he/she' won't run?
Here is WHAT I think is SHEER idiocy.
I have NEVER seen so much “NO SHE WON’T RUN” sentiments expressed about any non-candidate in the history of this country (I’m a Political Science major) than has been expressed about this one person.
I will call out and say that ALL those expressing such sentiment are betraying their own bias! Period!
I say that because there MORE EVIDENCE that she WILL RUN than there is that SHE WON’T RUN!
The only ‘non-candidate’ that holds the record of keeping EVERYONE guessing for decades is non other than MARIO CUOMO!
AND... the prognostication for the entire duration was not ... “HE’S NOT RUNNING!” but rather “IS HE RUNNING?”.
No I love Rush just like to see if i can raise a ruckus
It is more than a bit amusing that you take the time to accuse me of denigrating freepers without saying how but, afaik, you are silent on all the truly vile name calling that comes from the palinistas toward anyone who does not toe their line (these have included cute little morsels like...accusations of homosexuality and comments like, "I hope you die in a house fire.").
As far as my using Trademark as a nick-name for Palin(), why do you suppose that is? What could have possibly given me the idea?
And where is your post objecting to the various Bachmann or Perry or, in the past, Daniels nicknames and insults?
If you want a forum that is nothing but a Palin() love-fest, there are plenty of those. If I'm wrong, please correct me, but it is my understanding that FR is a place for discussion, not worship. And, imo, Palin's() unprecedented trademark registration of her name shows a greater interest on her part in the marketplace than in the POTUS-race. Therefore it is perfectly natural for me, or anyone, to point this out on a thread about her little dance of the seven veils.
As far as my using Trademark as a nick-name for Palin(), why do you suppose that is?
It’s legally very smart. An it can be used to take control of internet domains registered by hostiles or opportunists.
But she WILL earn....
You need to clarify.
Who is "they"?
“Tell me what ‘other’ person is everyone pontificating about, much less obssesed, in saying ‘he/she’ won’t run? “
Your kidding us, right?
we got the run/wontrun on Haley Barbour, Mitch Daniels, Chris Christie, Gov Rick Perry, Rudy Guliani, and others.
Will Rick Perry run? I dont know but its possible and the question has been asked.
Because the article takes the point-of-view that the evidence suggests that Palin might run.
Gosh, I was looking for a real answer not more snark.
1. I’m not trying to cut debate on her trademarking her name. It’s not that big of a deal to me one way or the other but why not start a thread about that? It’s one thing to want a debate and another to say “the trademark isn’t running”. Why not just say, “I don’t think she’s running and here’s why...”.
2. I don’t call anyone names so I don’t pay a lot of attention to those and in general (whether a thread is about Palin or something else) I tend to gloss over the nasty posts. As far as Perry & Bachmann are concerned, I don’t know a whole lot about Perry & I’m not interested in him so I don’t frequent his threads. Same with Bachmann. I’ve said my piece on her hiring of Rollins and don’t read through her threads. I’m sorry you’ve been called names but I wasn’t looking for a “well he did it first” answer. If you tone it down maybe others will too. Or else they’ll look like asses.
3. I’m sure you used “the trademark” because she trademarked her name. Since I don’t think it’s a big deal (people, you and I included) do things that some people won’t understand, will think are stupid, etc., I figure I don’t need to constantly mention them.
4. As I said before, I don’t spend time on Bachmann or Perry threads (though I do know he and Palin are good friends) so I’m not sure what names they’re called. I do know I’ve seen Texans on a couple different message boards say he’s a RINO but since he hasn’t declared, or even hinted as clearly as Palin has IMO I just don’t read his threads. Now I DO respond people on Palin threads but I don’t think I’ve ever called anyone a name and have tried to make reasoned arguments. If I have said something to you that’s an insult, I’m sorry. I don’t have a problem making fun of the idiots at DU but I try not to treat fellow freepers than way.
5. Of course I want FR to be a place of debate and there’s not one thing wrong with you wanting to debate whether or not she’ll run. But as I used to tell my sons, “sometimes it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.” Heck, it would have sounded different if you would’ve said, “I don’t think she’s running because by trademarking her name she indicated X,Y,Z...”
As I tried to indicate in my original post, I truly wasn’t trying to be facetious. For myself I usually avoid threads that I know are going to cause a visceral reaction in me. I actually love to debate ideas. IMO, that would mean a discussion of WHY someone would trademark their name rather than using that fact in a way you know is going to make people hostile.
