As far as my using Trademark as a nick-name for Palin(™), why do you suppose that is?

Because she has secured her right to exclusive use of “Palin” for the political communication services she has been providing.

It’s legally very smart. An it can be used to take control of internet domains registered by hostiles or opportunists.
