Sorry if this type of thread is frowned upon, if so take it down, but I was just curious to see how much money people on FR are thinking about contributing to Palin if she runs. Update the count when you post what you would contribute.
I'll start with $1,000.
If the mods leave the thread up, I'll bet it'll eventually hit a million bucks.
The Green Light Pledge thread. We could make real news with this.
Yep, I’m in. I literally can not wait for her to announce so I can find out how to help. I will donate money, time and whatever else is needed to get the Governor nominated and then elected President. I’ve already been organizing on her behalf with family, friends coworkers, clients, etc.
My dream is to be watching the networks and MSNBC in the early evening of Tuesday, November 6, 2012 and see them grudgingly have to announce that Sarah Palin has been elected the 45th President of the United States.
I have a $1000 waiting for her to declare.
I don’t have 2 cents to rub together today, but I’ll find at least $100 to send to Sarah.
Small price to pay for freedom! (see tagline)
Sarah will raise so much $$$ from ‘salt of the earth’ Americans - she won’t know what to do with it all!
Go Sarah, go USA!
I'll start with $100, then add as she goes along.
Boots on the ground, too - I'll work my butt off for her.
My husband’s paycheck can vary wildly from week to week so if/when she announces and we’re NOT pinching pennies we’d go $1000. If we ARE pinching pennies we’d still scrape up $100-$200.
Seems there are lot’s of folks with the same idea. I’ve just been waiting for her word as I am sure there are many others out there. I was thinking 3 mil of us at least $100.00 or more each. Be a good start and a tremendous wake-up call for a lot of folks.Let’s keep our powder dry. Keep it low key until the right moment and will have a much better effect. Just saying.
I am going to do the automatic donation thingy for $100 a month.
I’m in the same boat as you. But I have a few things set aside that I am going to sell in order to send SP $ 1000.
Kinda like that lady at the end of “It’s a Wonderful Life” who pulls the money out of her bra, shouting “I was savin’ this money for a dee-vorce, if I ever got married!” LOL
I’m just waiting for the word from on high.
I’ll go a $1000 if I can scrape it together.
Now that’s a good thought.
;^\
We don't have much of value to sell, but I'm willing to do a yard sale in the Texas sun for a whole weekend, if that's what it takes to raise a hundred bucks for Sarah.
Like others have said, I'll also get my boots on the ground, and help out with the heavy lifting, once she declares.
She can count on 100. from me,I know thats not much, but I have Never given money to any Politician,Sarah I will Give What I can
she’ll need your boots on the ground, too. Isn’t TX where they have a blended caucus/primary or is that only the Dem party that does that?
If I recall, that is where BO truly and really shafted HRC.
Here’s a link to the FEC Citizen’s Guide to Donation regulation with emphasis on the Presidential rules (current as of Feb 2011)
http://www.fec.gov/pages/brochures/citizens.shtml
Well, because of serious health problems in the past few years I made arrangements to take care of my kin and don’t have much to spend money on. So I’ve already set aside $2,500 only for Sarah. I’ll go to the max this year and next for SarahPac. And whatever is left over or I can scrape together direct to those Sarah endorses in tight races.
And as I was posting on another thread I can tap a nice funeral fund and have the demoncrat controlled county bury my carcass, having my last hurrah and laugh on them. ;>)
But on a serious note all those that can donate substanial funds read the regs carefully and fully, especially joint contributions and how to designate which election accounts your donation is intended. Things can get tricky real quick in how the FEC categorizes your donations. The obligation to comply is placed on the candidate and the donor.
So keep it clean and don’t let the bastids see your boot knives.
That's true, but it's going to be a blast because her campaign offices are going to be jumping with volunteers. It's going to be like a party, every day.
Isnt TX where they have a blended caucus/primary or is that only the Dem party that does that?
As far as I know, the Republican primary is open, all across the country. It's one of our worst Achille's Heels.
