How long will it take for Obama for Napolitano to brag about this big bologna decrease due to their policies.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Santa Teresa seized 385 pounds of the Mexican contraband meat from behind the seat of a pickup that stopped at the port on Friday

Agent Fred Pitoski was quoted as saying "I have been doing this job for 23 years and this was the first time I sausage a thing."

It's illegal to bring the bologna across the border because it's made of pork and has the potential to introduce foreign animal diseases into the U.S. pork industry.

Ah, ost of the pork in the US comes out of mexico.

I’m not sure I see your point.

We inspect people at border crossings (in theory at least) to determine if they, or any of their possessions pose a potential threat to the United States. That seems like a pretty good idea to me.

When something is found during that inspection, in this case swine that’s potentially disease carrying, should we turn a blind eye? To make some sort of point? I don’t think reintroducing Classical Swine Fever (or worse, Foot and mouth disease or Swine vesicular disease) to damage our multi-billion dollar a year swine industry?

I must share this with you:

The funniest thing happened here in Panama a couple of months ago. The police noticed that an ambulance was racing to and from at the same hour in the early morning with lights blazing and sirens wailing. They decided to check it out.

They found it was carrying a load of plantains (“platanos” in Spanish) back to market in the city. What they were doing was beating their competitors to the market by being first to unload their product and be ahead in sales.

whenever we go to visit relatives in New Mexico, we always come home with this certain bologna that we can’t find her in California... it has this red casing... my dad grew up eating it and just loves it... and the rest of us have come to like it too—it just reminds us of visiting New Mexico when we were kids... we probably made it out there every 3 years on a road trip... we call it New Mexico bologna or red bologna... my cousins all know that we like it, so they always make sure to serve it fried at at least one breakfast while we are there...

385 pounds, common sense tells you they were going to sell it.

Behind the seat in a pickup is likely not an approved method of transport for a meat product.

I am sure it was processed under sanitary conditions and inspected...right?
