Sarah in 2012 = Obama until 2016. Good that Mike is gone. Good that Barbour is gone. Trump is a decent sideshow until the serious business of choosing a candidate begins in earnest. Sarah Palin is not a serious ontender for the WH. She has as much a chance as Bachmann. Palin gets less than 45% of vote if lucky in general election. We need a candidate that country can rally around. Not a reality show star that couldn’t get through a full term as governor of Alaska.

Put your Flame Suit on. I’m not saying I disagree with you, though.

I’m honestly beginning to wonder if any of them REALLY want the mess Barry’s created...they may spend some time looking like they’ll run but when it comes right down to it will they stay the course til the end or drop out.

Sometimes I think the Republicans are willing to let Barry ruin the whole country and then come in thereafter and start over....

So the millions in legal costs had nothing to so with her leaving? She just up and quit for no reason? No one seems to mind that Obama barely ever showed his face the capital before running for President or that Mitt couldn’t even run for a second term because he did such a poor job. Palin had good reason to move into a position to help lead the conservative movement where she could not do that as a governor under fire up in AK.

Yes if I heard him right, he talked it over with God, and God said it`s a no.

Mike did not say, but I assume God is backing Sarah

That photo is the basis for my belief that Huck could NEVER be elected. Matching striped shirts, bad haircuts, and guts, elbow patches (!), women segregated into red shirts, and, worst of all, he’s holding the dog’s paw, not his wife’s. On top of that, his wife looks like she wants to be put out of her misery. Her eyes look sad.

No one under the age of 60 would ever vote for an out of touch white guy with a photo like that. He’s sitting on the bench, for goodness’ sakes!

Just as well. Not enough starch. We need somebody strong willed enough to call out the liberal bastards destroying our country. Mike just doesn’t have it. Neither does Romney nor Gingrich. Sarah, yes. Michele, yes. Herman, yes.

Sarah helped McCain get 46% of the vote in 2008 after McCain ran a terrible campaign (including the horrible decision to suspend his campaign to vote for TARP).

You add the new groups of voters since 2008 like Tea Partiers, Mama Grizzlies, and growing number of Dems who have left the Dem party (like me) who support Sarah Palin. We will put her over the top.

Women will secretly vote for Palin (even if they don’t like her) just to see the 1st woman POTUS.

Cain can’t beat Obama

I got bent out of shape over his vote on an Obamacare bill but the ONLY one that I think that can beat O is Allen West, unfortunately it looks pretty much like he won’t run

It’s clear that you don’t have a clue about Huckabee, or the state he comes from.

What makes you think that Tea Party members or "mama grizzlies" did not vote for McCain? Why exactly so you call them new voters?

That picture of the Hucksters cracks me up every time. At least they’re wearing vertical stripes. Imagine if they were horizontal!

It's highly unlikely there'll be any more minority candidates with a serious chance of winning the office until the next century and maybe not even then.

Obama has destroyed every minority's opportunity.

Kinda of tired of two things

1. tired of seeing people rooting AGAINST somebody

2. and Landertiger — kindly specify a candidate — by name — YOU would like to see win the GOP nomination who might have a chance to win

I would like to see people step up and say who they WANT to run, rather than contributing nothing by saying they’re glad so-and-so is out of the race.

As for me: I’d love to see Palin or Demint or Santorum get the GOP nomination. Any of them would make a fine president. And I think any of them could win it.

I think Cain can pull it off and beat Obama, for several reasons:

1. He’s truly conservative, the way Reagan was. Unabashed, plain-talking, charismatic conservatism wins.

2. He doesn’t have pre-existing high negatives like Palin does.

3. He’s got Trump and Romney’s business sense, without the personal baggage, iffy conservative credentials and utter douchiness of The Donald, or the political wishy washiness of Romney.

4. He is first and foremost an American. That said, he realizes that his race WILL be made an issue, he can take it in stride by using phrases like “Dark horse” (pun intended) and “a REAL black man” running against Obama. I think this is a good balance. While I don’t want the campaign racialized, it will be, regardless, and Cain’s own race makes their attempts at playing the race card ridiculous, esp. since Cain himself can retort and play it right back at them.

5. He’s an interesting guy to listen to. He doesn’t bore you to death like Pawlenty or Santorum.

6. He has faith, but can walk that fine line between being a moral man of faith but not coming across like a televangelist (that’s you, Huckabee). He is more than acceptable to SoCons, yet, he can get a lot of support from the fiscal/Tea Party voters too.

7. He can get a little bit more of the black vote than any other Republican. Normally Republicans get 10%. John McCain got something like 5% against Obama. Unfortunately this is largely probably due to Obama’s race. Cain may be able to peel enough off enough to get 12 - 14%, but probably not much more. In close states with high black populations (VA, PA, FL, NC, LA, AR) this could make the difference between Obama winning and Cain winning.

(you’re right about West though, he could, but he won’t run).

I know you people. I've been there. I've seen it. I've heard your irrational bleating on FR and other sites where you complain about having new highways.

You're even the same guys who get upset that Mitch Daniels leased out the Tri-State tollroad.
