That photo is the basis for my belief that Huck could NEVER be elected. Matching striped shirts, bad haircuts, and guts, elbow patches (!), women segregated into red shirts, and, worst of all, he’s holding the dog’s paw, not his wife’s. On top of that, his wife looks like she wants to be put out of her misery. Her eyes look sad.
No one under the age of 60 would ever vote for an out of touch white guy with a photo like that. He’s sitting on the bench, for goodness’ sakes!
And as bad as the fashion faux pas of the "slimming" vertical stripes is, I agree that the DOG is the worst part. Remember that the oldest son was arrested for torturing a stray puppy for hours and then hanging it to death from a tree. If YOUR son did that (and you tried as Gov to keep him from justice), would you be caught on your Christmas photo clutching your own dog's little leg with your wife holding it in a choke grip in order to keep it in the photo??
