Atlanta talk-show host and businessman Herman Cain stole the show in the GOP debate in Greenville, S.C., Thursday, and may have vaulted himself into the front tier of Republican candidates according to several pundits and observers.

“If you want the real headline today it would say, ‘A star is born,’” Matt Towery, the conservative syndicated columnist and CEO of the nonpartisan InsiderAdvantage polling firm, told Newsmax Friday.

Cain was Deputy Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and was in office from 1992–1994. That rules him OUT as far as I’m concerned.

Herman is such a breath of fresh air. He says what he means and means what he says. Attention GOP: We are TIRED of your hand-picked, professional, career politicians!!! We won’t get “McCained” again!

That was the first time for me hearing Cain speak. He reminded me a lot of Fred Thompson, even in his delivery.

Another unqualified affirmitive action black who speaks well. But hey it worked out so well with Obama why not try again with another black guy.

Let me be clear. I like Herman Cain and what he has to say, but that does not qualify him to be President.

To see him to be impressed. He and Palin are by far the best stump speakers, and Herman is running. Mark Levin has a point. He hasd to gt away from the repetition. But, man, he is one smart dude. Like Jesse Jackson, he is a black man who can fill a room with his presence. Unlike Jesse, he has principles and a real resume as a do-er. And unlike Obama he is a man with roots in the American South.

I only saw bits of the debate, but I thought Herman Cain sounded good from what I saw of him.

Now Rick Santorum: Someone please tell him not to run.

Question:" Mr Cain, how do you think you will be able to handle the job of President with a business background, but having never held elective office?

Cain: "Well, we normally elect politicians to be President. How's that been working out lately?"

I heard a rumor that he supported/supports TARP. If this is true then he is no longer a good candidate for POTUS, in my mind. Can someone confirm or deny the rumor that I have just presented?

thanks

When obama won, I was fairly certain things would be so bad with him that we would not have another black president for a very, very long time...but that was before Herman Cain put his hat into the ring.

If the GOP is smart enough to nominate him, I will definitely look forward to and enjoy voting for Herman Cain. The debates with him and obama would be very educational and the kind of wake up call we need after obama's mass electoral somnambulism.

Those of us that have been following Cain for a while know that Herman Cain has “it”, now the rest of the world is finding out.

Sarah Palin also has “it”. That’s why she continues to be so popular despite the pounding by the MSM.
