The Long Form Birth Certificate (National Review Shows the Photo but it's the COLB)
National Review ^ | 04/27/2011 | Daniel Foster

Posted on 04/27/2011 7:00:00 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Here’s the long-form birth certificate, so birthers can get to work on explaining why we now need a photograph of President Obama’s parents standing in front of Kapiolani hospital with a copy of the August 4, 1961 edition of the Honolulu Star Advertiser  in one hand and a complete genome in the other.

Here’s White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer’s full statement on the matter:

In 2008, in response to media inquiries, the President’s campaign requested his birth certificate from the state of Hawaii. The state sent the campaign the President’s birth certificate, the same legal documentation provided to all Hawaiians as proof of birth in state, and the campaign immediately posted it on the internet. That birth certificate can be seen here (PDF).

When any citizen born in Hawaii requests their birth certificate, they receive exactly what the President received. In fact, the document posted on the campaign website is what Hawaiians use to get a driver’s license from the state and the document recognized by the Federal Government and the courts for all legal purposes. That’s because it is the birth certificate. This is not and should not be an open question.

The President believed the distraction over his birth certificate wasn’t good for the country. It may have been good politics and good TV, but it was bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country. Therefore, the President directed his counsel to review the legal authority for seeking access to the long form certificate and to request on that basis that the Hawaii State Department of Health make an exception to release a copy of his long form birth certificate. They granted that exception in part because of the tremendous volume of requests they had been getting. President Barack Obama’s long form birth certificate can be seen here (PDF):

At a time of great consequence for this country – when we should be debating how we win the future, reduce our deficit, deal with high gas prices, and bring stability to the Middle East, Washington, DC, was once again distracted by a fake issue.  The President’s hope is that with this step, we can move on to debating the bigger issues that matter to the American people and the future of the country.

And here’s the White House’s correspondence with the Hawaii State Department of Health.

What else is happening today? Donald Trump is going to New Hampshire.

after living in Arkansas and Missouri for a number of years. TXDOT would not accept my hospital-issued birth certificate, and I couldn’t get my drivers license until I got the gov’t-issued document (COLB short or long form) from the state where I was born.

Look at the number in the top right. 0bama's "Department of Health" "File Number" is:

151____61____10641

Susan Nordyke, born later with all her dates later, has a File number of:

151____61____10637

How can Susan Nordyke receive a lower number than Barack? She was born later by every date on each document.

Governments are nothing if not bureaucratically regimented. Forms in those days came sequentially pre-printed.

There's something fishy about the File Number. DIG PEOPLE!

"No matter. What BHO has effectively done at this point is circumvent the intent of the Constitutional founders that a Natural Born Citizen is a person born in the US of two US citizen parents."

The one place where the founders defined a "Natural Born Citizen" was in the "Naturalization Act of 1790". Note, first Congress. Majority of founders are in this first Congress. One of their definitions was anyone born in the U.S.

I don’t know why this took a couple of days to be done. Maybe they were busy. Maybe she was alone and that’s when she was well enough that she made it to the office where these were set up. Who cares? Do you think this document was created in 2006 when he was a Senator and thinking about being President? What exactly are you alleging here?

I care! I also believe this was made up 2 days ago, like it says on the certificate.

“African was not used to describe race. Certainly not in the early sixties. The proper nomenclature would be Negro at that time. Somethings not right here.”
__________

No, that sounds about par for the course for Hawaii, even in the 60s. I can easily imagine a lot of COLBs were issued there with “Asian” used to describe race, so why not “African”?

And from what I’ve read about his “we are the world, kumbaya” mother, that sounds like something she would fill in the blank with.

no, there’s nothing fishy at all. Look at the dates the forms were prepared, not the dates of birth.

THEN imagine that you want to forge a birth certificate. How would you possibly know A. what serial number to use for a date that long ago, and B. that no one else would show up with the identical serial number and prove you were forging.

Then look at the Nordyke birth certificate and see that the typist made the identical capitalisation decisions as on the Obama certificate, on an identical typewriter, and tell me that the forgers were that careful.

It’s over. Let’s talk about spending cuts vs. tax hikes.

"Currently, Title 8 of the U.S. Code fills in the gaps left by the Constitution. Section 1401 defines the following as people who are “citizens of the United States at birth:”

Being a born Citizen is NOT the same as a natural born Citizen. At least according to our Founding Fathers.

What BHO has effectively done at this point is circumvent the intent of the Constitutional founders that a Natural Born Citizen is a person born in the US of two US citizen parents. Now Marco Rubio and Bobby Jindal can both run for President and any anchor baby whose mother managed to drag herself across the Rio Grande. Now you just have to be Native born to be President. Yippeeeee!!!!

Which I believe fully explains why the Republican Elites refuse to challenge Obama's natural born citizen eligibility. Proof: just look at the tone of this article.

Where did you find the attending physician’s signature?

"That is NOT a long form..."

How do you know? Do you have a long form Hawaiian birth certificate on your possession that is different? There is a photocopy in this thread of the Nordyke long form birth certificate that was the day before Obamas and it looks the same to me. Other than when it was photocopied it's on a white background compared to the funky green background of Obamas. But the form is the same.

The definition of NBC is not in the constitution, but in other papers and court cases. Consensus is that both parents need to be US citizens at the time of the child’s birth. Arnold is a US citizen but not a NBC and not eligible to be Pres.

Nobody back then thought Obama would run for President, his mother and grandmother just wanted to make sure he was an American citizen. A lot of people do that, even now. Don't add silliness to the real conversation about a document that every AMERICAN has easy access to. I have an Arkansas birth certificate from 1960 with footprint (very common back then), both parents birthplaces and dates of birth, and a host of other information about where, when, and circumstances of birth.

This is just more BS thrown out there to confuse and divide the electorate.

Because he was NOT born there and he got the number of a baby that was deceased. That was the only number available within that time period.

Ok one more thing that makes no since according to the document obama was borned at the Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital but all I can find for a name of the hospital is
Kauikeolani Children’s Hospital opened in 1909 named for Emma Kauikeolani Napoleon Mahelona (1862–1931), the wife of Albert Spencer Wilcox (1844–1919).[1] In 1978, it merged with KapiÊ»olani Maternity Home to become KapiÊ»olani Medical Center for Women and Children from wikipedia

Can someone smarter than me find out if it was ever called what they claim Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital Because if it was not called that in 61 or never called that one more bogus thing and one not easy to wiggle out of thanks
