In a political bombshell, the clerk in a Republican stronghold is set to release new vote totals giving 7,500 votes in the state Supreme Court race back toward Justice David Prosser, swinging the race significantly in his favor.
The Waukesha County clerk's office has told state elections officials that they will be adjusting the vote totals to give incumbent David Prosser more than 7,000 new votes, said Mike Haas, staff attorney for the state Government Accountability Board.
"Waukesha will be adjusting their vote totals by 14,000," Haas said the Accountability Board was told.
The numbers will add some 11,000 votes for Prosser and some 3,000 for Kloppenburg, he said.

I prefer "Richard Trumka spent $3mil to buy me a Supreme Court Seat and all I got was this lousy Tshirt!"
Glory be to God in highest and God bless Wisconsin!!!
Absolutely... she was a deranged lunatic for doing so, but we both know that was the case anyway.
ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So the correct solution is to refuse to report unofficial numbers to the media. Final Count is the only count that the media (and everyone else) gets.
Listening to the Waukesha clerk’s press conference. She discovered error herself.
Final totals — Prosser 92,263; Kloppenberg 32,758
Democrat representative at the Canvass supports Republican clerk and verified the procedures.
The Brookfield data was 14315 votes with 10869 for Prossor and 3456 for Kloppenburg.
The DB was NOT old. It was an Access program (Microsoft?) The problem seemed to be that when the data was sent from Brookfield, it was not saved before it was entered into the Access DB.
I’m just reporting — so don’t slam me about these programs.
“I prefer “Richard Trumka spent $3mil to buy me a Supreme Court Seat and all I got was this lousy Tshirt!” “
LOL!
So what percent of the vote does Prosser have to have before recount is not automatic? With about a 7,000 vote lead(if the numbers hold up)there should be no recount unless the dems request it an pay for it.
That reminds me of the exit polling controversies, where the media is in such a manic rush for information on election day that they actually make up their own numbers to report.
Wall to wall news reporting and the need to fill dead space with something new to talk about causes a lot of these problems.
SMACKDOWN---INCOMING!!!!!!!!!
Stunning!
I don’t care how it gets there, so long as Prosser is given his rightful win.
The good people of WI voted and they and Prosser righteously and legitimately won.
No, it is the 14000 + votes from the city of Brookside in Waukesha County that for whatever reason were not included in the total originally reported by Waukesha County. It is the exact totals that were reported on Tuesday night by Brookside city election officials to the county, and those totals are absent from the County totals on Tuesday night. Whether it was just an accidental failure to save before submitting or a deliberate withholding of the totals until after the democrat counties had tabulated and submitted their totals will be the subject of wild speculation and accusations, but either way, these are not "lost votes" or "manufactured votes" -- just votes that were incorrectly excluded from the totals previously reported for Waukesha County.
And typically, no one hears word one about such discrepancies, because elections are decided by a large enough margin that a few hundred votes here or there makes no difference.
I just listened to the County Clerk’s press conference. At one pint I thought she was going to cry. However, she bucked up and finished with a strong, clear voice. The Democrat on the Board of Canvassers supported her explanation and supported the audit process.
Maybe. But on the other hand, had the Dems known how many votes they had to manufacture, they would have done so.
True, true, and true. Of course the Dems will probably still call for a recount and the unions will pay for it.
Hanlon’s Razor:
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
I would also point out that in most elections, even a change of several thousand votes in an official vote total vs. the unofficial media tally would be inconsequential to the outcome and not even come up for discussion, as the margin is normally larger between the candidates in the raw vote total even if the overall percentage difference was narrow. Likely these kinds of tally differences occurred in all other elections, but are only significant given how narrow the margin is between the candidates.
That would be nice. Remember though that 2 years ago, the democrats actually seated a candidate from a special election based solely on the unofficial totals reported to the media, not willing to wait because they needed the vote for Obamacare.
