It started that way with Mubarak . . .
Another dictator’s “government” quits? Duh, he’s still there.
Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
So what changes when you have a new Cabinet? They don’t run the country. The same guys who propped up Assad’s Dad and now him run things and they do it through ruthlessness.
(two days pass)
The same group returns, one at a time to be re-hired...
Assad: come in .... you look familiar
Applicant: well, I do have some experience
Assad: you are hired, next!
So exactly what does resignation of the government mean? I see it was the President that accepted “the government’s” resignation, so apparently, he didn’t resign.
Whoa.
Revolving door changes don’t placate the crowds...............
What does he do now?
Appoint czars to run things?
Saddams WMD will be in the hands of newer better rebels now.
/big sarc
I would have thought it would fire up the protesters to see they’re having an impact.
Just like a snake sheading its skin!
How about a common denominator?
By now anyone who has been paying even a small amount attention to the news knows that people are revolting and demonstrating all over the Middle East. Not just one specific country but a multitude of them. Since these uprisings seem to be all over and not just limited to one country it begs the question what appears to be the common denominator to all the uprising? What do all these countries have in common?
Perhaps if we could come up with the right answer it also may be the solution to the problems. I for one do believe that the biggest portion of the problem rests with a philosophy, by some referred to as a religion put down in writing around 650 AD which appears to empower Kings, Princes, clerics, dictators along with inspiring crazy radicals but failed to do very little for the little guy with most of them not even owning a pot to piss in, pardon the expletive.
May be such philosophy deserve to be re-examined quite similar to socialism, communism etc. what in the long run has caused more problems than it has solved.
If we can change Syria from its terrorist leaning mindset, that will stop Hezzbolah, and you can bet the Israelis are on it in a big way.
