I'm actually beginning to harbor some faint hope that these SOB's are going to get a jarring wake-up call, very soon. But then again, I've also learned never to
assume that the Establishment GOP will stand on core principles. We still have too many rubber spines in Washington.
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

1) I didn’t do it — how dare you accuse me of this! I’m not biased!!
2) Maybe I did say that stuff — but you have no evidence!
3) OK, you have some evidence — but nothing convincing!
4) OK, this happened — but it’s nobody’s business but my own!
5) OK, Taxpayers are forced to fund my war against traditional American values — but everybody agrees with me! Why make a big deal out of this?
6) OK, most Americans actually like American values and disagree with my radical left wing agenda — but that’s old news! Can’t we just move on?
7) Hey, go ahead — focus on it all you want! The president backs me! We own the Senate! You can’t touch me! HAHAHAHA!

So I’m forced to subsidize an entity that hates me? At least I can vote out politicians. The minority rules again.

If it weren't for the Second Amendment, NPR would do to us what Radio Rwanda and RTLM did in 1994: put themselves at the disposal of the liberal mob, inciting and coordinating a genocidal attack on all Christians and patriots, nationwide.
Only the precious Second Amendment keeps us from becoming the Tutsis.

The feeling is mutual. The difference is that I can get along just fine without them but the need my tax dollars to stay afloat financially. Sucks to be them.

They hate a lot more than the tea party.
According to this guy Shiller’s comments only about 10% of Americans are ‘elite’ and educated enough to consider intelligent.

I used to listen to
A Prairie Home Companion on our local NPR affiliate. (Correct me if in error, but I think that it's not produced by NPR, NPR buys it and plays it.)
Excepting the shows that involved begging for listener money, there were inevitable left wing messages and political instruction in every program. The Alinsky weapon of RIDICULE was especially prominent during the Presidency of Dubya, during which they would mock and deride our President at all opportunities (some seemed ad lib and other attacks were clearly written.)
Aside from the fact that these fungi (talented, but definitely fungus) do not appreciate the First Amendment rights that let them perform anti-American activism "art", what really bugs me is that a portion of MY tax money goes to support leftist activism that I find so repellent.

I am very glad that this has blown up. It’s been needing to, for a very, very long time. I’ve been grinding my teeth while watching PBS for years, now, and have really wanted to see them taken to task in the national spotlight for their unabashed liberal bias.
This is a good thing.

Just wait...when the NPR is defunded (if it is) they will have no pretext of balance to act as a restraint, and they will act like a pedophile in a grade school in a third world country.
Then they will go on an all-out assault of conservatism. At that point, I hope their public support will mirror Err-America and its radio successes.
Maybe our local public station will put some good old movies on when NPR and affiliates go under.

As a 'former' contributor to NPR (way back; before I figured it out) do think of those
telethoners reaching out to the public, who NPR 'serves' - asking for money - whatever can be spared so that they may continue to enjoy their programming and of course, to join their NPR
family. And while they count the money; these
same harbor their
snear and loathing for the contributors and probably get a good laugh as well.
Hope the 'givers' get it; if they have not yet, that is.
