Putting gas prices aside for a moment, what are you paying for a gallon of milk?
We just paid more than $4.00 a gallon yesterday.

We pay about $3.10 for a gallon of milk. Of course we produce our own goat milk and get meat besides - so I’m not sure we count.
Yesterday at ALDI,in Nebraska, $1.99 for a Gallon.
$1.75 at Aldi’s.

Yes. Previously every penny rise in the price of gas led to a new round of Bush's-fault wailing in the LSM and interviews with people at the pump blaming the Big Oil Bushies for their woes.
Now gas just keeps going up and up and not a peep is said about it.
I guess it only hurts the economy/consumer when a Republican is President.
Don’t buy milk much but got a loaf of bread yesterday and all of the breads I usually buy were $4.29 a loaf for sliced bread. I almost fell over. Ended up buying the stores generic brand for $2.99.
Local food fair had ribeyes yeterday for 2.99 Lb.
Aldo’s is definitely coming out ahead on this thread!
Here in Pennsylvania, we have a Milk Marketing Board which dictates the minimum price for milk- and right now its pegged at about $3.80/ gallon- can’t buy it legally for less in the commonwealth.
I buy it by the half gallon, $2.08 for half here in Pittsburgh at Shur Save.
We often buy Pepperidge Farm bread on sale 2 for $5.00. Now it is 2 for $6.00 on sale. As if we wouldn’t notice!
Oh that’s right I had to stop at the gas station on my way to the store and pump in some $3.70 gas! I asked the attendant inside if she had a job application I could grab for the newly created position they must have for someone to stand outside and change the price on the signs every day. At least she laughed.
The first gas station to give me a free jug of milk when I’m spending $100.00 to fill my tank gets my business.

Aldi grocery store...in FL...around 2.89
I didn’t check milk prices when I went to the grocery store yesterday.
However, I did notice a sharp increase in the price of tomatoes — $2.00-$2.50/lb, compared to $1.79 a week earlier. I have seen tomatoe prices much higher in previous years, up to $3.79/lb.
Head of lettuce was $1.49, but bagged salad was the same price it has been for months.

Unfortunately some manufacturers of anything wanna make a little money off of the “crisis” in the middle east. “Look what’s happening in Libya!”......
I needed one green and one red pepper for a recipe this weekend. $2.99 each.
There was a sign posted that the Mexican freeze was responsible.
