From the BBC:
1545: Libyan TV says in an "urgent" screen caption the state news agency is under "piracy" attack, and gives a new web address: "Website of [state] al-Jamahiriyah News Agency (JANA) subjected to suspicious piracy operation."
1528: And AFP has just reported that there are violent clashes between demonstrators and government forces taking place in central Tunis.
1525: In Tunisia, where it all started, hundreds of journalists and technicians from the state-run TV broadcaster have gone on strike over what they say is continued government censorship of their dispatches, Reuters reports. State TV news bulletins have stopped. One striker, asking not to be named, told Reuters: "We are on strike demanding an end to all the pressure and to stop the censorship, and to allow us to work freely... We will not accept restrictions anymore."
1443: As reported earlier, Tripoli remains calm after a night of sporadic gunfire. A Libyan journalist told the BBC that shops were open and people were going about their business. He said supporters of Col Gaddafi were occupying Green Square, in the centre of of the city.

Day of Rage planned for SA on March 11.
FYI
Forgive me for feeling this way, but I read a report about the ferry our government hired to evacuate Americans and others from Libya. Some were quoted as claiming they would return asap. We’re paying to evacuate them and they’re going right back?
Gaddafi Ukrainian nurse returns home
Wonder if she's really Ukranian...
I wonder when the news will stop calling them ‘protesters’. This is now a rebellion, and if something doesn’t happen quick it will be a full blown, drawn out, lines-on-the-map civil war.
That for Skeet shootin’?
“PULL!” >>>>>>>BOOM<<<<<<<

It’s amazing isn’t it? I think there ARE some people in these demonstrations and uprisings who really DO want freedom. At this point though I’m not convinced they’re going to get what they want. There’s also the question of how many of those that want it grasp what it means to live with freedom.
The only answer for US is DRILL, BABY, DRILL!!!
They're calling for political reforms and more welfare bennies for Qataris.
Give me welfare, or give me death!
SNORT.
Yep.
Stepping back a minute and looking at everything as a whole you can see how this is going to end.
The entire middle east and every Muslim country is on the brink or already toppled.

The executive order issued by the president targets the Libyan governments central bank and its sovereign wealth fund, an action that Obama said is aimed at the government, while leaving the assets that belong to the people of Libya intact.
The measures apply to Qadhafis family his three sons, Khamis, Mutassim and Saif Al-Islam and his daughter Ayesha unnamed members of the Libyan government, and perpetrators of human rights violations in Libya.
For now, the order affects only those five individuals, but Stuart Levey, undersecretary of Treasury for terrorism and financial intelligence, said his department would work in conjunction with the State Department to identify the names of others to whom the sanctions should apply.

was thinking there is someone else needing pinging and what do I see. You too have contributed so much.
Someone better take a freakin' good look at that last bit....
The problems you outlined seem to be spreading farther and faster than the MSM is letting out.
But in the end, the public will blame the Government in charge or not having a plan to relieve the suffering.
It's basically the French Revolution 101 all over again. The Clerics also have a way of providing for the masses using Islamic money to provide for the people what the Government cannot. This is why this is becoming so dangerous.
Iraq is very much threatened by the same conditions.
I know- scary, eh? I was looking for what other significance the date March 11 may have (Begin and Sadat signed peace treaty in ‘82) and ran across something I had COMPLETELY forgotten about- though I don’t know how I could have...

This page will give you chills- it could be today- it’s all so much the same...
Not enough definition in the photo for me to tell when I magnify it a bit. The helmet on a couple of them looks like the one the North Vietnamese used to wear. The fellows in soft caps look like they are in Chinese field uniforms. JMHO.
Official headline via FOX;
UN is considering sanctions against Libya.
Now, one has to ponder the fear and shivering that threat must impose on the “Duck”.
